I have been talking with Matrix about Megaman games, which were hacked. He mentioned then from a very old homebrew game, which never was finished because of a great dramatic event, which devided the developer team back then. It was a leak, which apparently destroyed the project. Matrixz has shown me some screenshots, which he has taken down, after I have seen them. It was mindblowing for me.

It was then that we searched for traces of it.
Here in this decade old forum lies a once great project.
Mega Man Vengeance Screenshots!
Sadly, all those screenshots do not work there any longer.

I wonder where Vagla, Sephiroth3 (Could it be our Seph here due Hyrule Magic?) and Cald are now. I wish I could have participated in their project. But what is gone is gone.
Dragon Eye Studios, where Matrixz was, doesn't exist any longer.

Edit: By the way, I found this company:
http://www.studiodragonseye.com/
Could it be, that the studio resurrected?

Yeah, I still have a version of a that homebrew.
And some files for music that I had written for that game.

No idea if this is the "same DES"... they're doing games, but no hacks/nes homebrews... but still, games... hard to tell.

Forgive me for what I'm about to say here, but if you are acutally looking for the author of that hack.
You may want to consider finding out his real name, since its been a long while its a very very low chance he'll have any files relating to it.
If he may have passed it to someone to be secured you might be in luck.
The choice is upto you if its worh contacting him, he may not even recognize you. :/

Start out with bing.com and use google advance search to look all over the globe for any information.
If someone has it or hosted under semi different name you'll find it but it will take forever.

Good luck if you pursue that searching.

As Matrixz told me, he has still a version of the homebrewed ROM. However he promised DES not to share it with anyone. I can respect that.

Interresting Kain, do you mind to share with us the music?

Like Matrixz, I also remember Vagla telling me to keep the Rom to myself. However, at the same time, that was 10 years ago... would MMVen really ever get back in production again? I haven't spoke to Vagla in forever (though he's in my special thanks in my hack for getting me into rom hacking in the first place) I don't know if Matrixz is still in contact with him.

For the music, I'm far from my city right now, but when I get back home, I'll search for it. The music wasn't implemented into the rom (as far as I know) though, since the Rom I have was just the introductory stage (which I thought was reaaally challenging).
