When I am in the intro level the message won't come up how can i fix this.

Does the patch require freespace? Check. If it's an IPS, then you probably shouldn't use the patch.

yes it does require freespace its an Xkas patch the free space here are the adresses that I have in the asm file.

use stuff with the "8000" or some 8s at the end for the best results.

Perhaps this is oversimplifying, but which intro level are you referring to - C5 or the title sequence? If you're trying to use a message box in the title sequence, it won't properly interrupt layer 3.

i'm not using layer 3 in my hack is there a way to fix it so that I could still use the Level C5 Intro Message.

Insert sprite command "19"
Save your level and test it, next go to ow editor and edit the way you want your text to look like.

Still doesn't work it wont come up is there a good freespace address so it could not disable it.

I've personally used that patch from SMW Central by Smallhacker. It works fine. The issue is on your end.

1) Did you read the readme carefully and do EXACTLY what it said?

2) Did you use other patches? Often there can be conflicts if they hack the same code.

3) Why not try to be more specific and upload a video with exactly what's going on?

4) Why not just e-mail Smallhacker and ask him for further inquiries since it's his patch?
