Ok so i finally found a smb rom hack that i have been looking for which is called "u.n. owen is her". pretty excited about it until i found out it will not run on any emulators i have tried it out on except for jnes i think.
I use nestopia and was wondering if anyone with a little knowledge could help me figure out why its loading to a black screen on nestopia and even fce ultra. I want to get it running on nestopia and am thinking i can with a little help possible. The link to the patch is here: http://nightbug.net/game/index.php?%A5%DE%A5%EA%A5%AA%2F%BA%C7%BD%AA%B5%B4%C3%DC%C1%B4%C9%F4%BD%C4 note: this is just the ips download, no roms! it has 2 ips files enclosed, one is called unknown which is the hack itself, and the other is just an included ips patch to change the music on regular smb roms. You do not have to patch the rom with both, only the unknown ips patch for the full game with music. Did not know if anyone else had been looking for this as i have, and was wondering if someone could maybe lend a hand or expertise, i really want to play this on nestopia, my emu of choice.  |

Hmm, I'll give a play through later on today.
The music "feels" like it came straight from castlevania...

I remember playing this Touhou SMB1 hack from Nightbug a long time ago. I may thinking it the rom needs to be expanded to add 512 bytes as a trained rom (41,488 I believe), or your SMB1 rom needs to have a clean dump. |

i know for a fact the rom is a clean dump. Can you point me to the utility to expand the rom? I appreciate your input insectduel! |

I tried using a downloaded trained smb rom but it still cpu jams nestopia and this game will not even play in fceultra. Anyone be able to help with this? Its weird that pretty much no emus run this game.
How can i add 512 bytes to the rom without making downloading the trained rom. Also i noticed this changes the mapper to 4. |
