Ok, sorry to double post, but I wanted to make sure you saw this. I patched a Mega Man 5 U copy and get pretty far, but there's a glitch with the scrolling in Frozen Man's stage that ruins the area directly after the check point. Is this just me that ran into it?


No probs, really? I've checked the scrolling before, at, and after checkpoint also pit test, And it's fine. Any screenshot? Thanks for your feedback beforehand, but I've submitted the new version in cause of fixing two fatal glitch in Dark 1 stage (thx Insectduel) and Wily 4 boss.

I'm afraid it was only yours.

Maybe it's just my emulator not being able to handle the parallax here? It's a little strange, as I recall seeing other parallax work fine.

What the...

Frozen Man's Stage had 3 parallax method.

First the parallax splitted mountain and sky in the beginning.
Second the parallax which captured by you like Tomahawk or Gemini Man.
And the last is static Parallax for the aurora.

And the handling enemy for those AI is just one Object ID determining by Y position.

The glitch possibility caused by 2 cases :

1. Your emulator. (This can be solved by changing emulator)
2. You made an action or certain movement which unusual (for beta-testing or accidentally) in my current project. The new AI and programming using many unused memory in ROM and RAM (Zero page) even level data, I afraid this case had relation to that and ruin everything, In short, this case caused by my fault. (Well, this is more dangerous one)

I tested in FCEUX and VirtuaNES but that was fine.

i doubt it's anything you did wrong, or.. you did actually find something wrong in your code ??

I also never saw any problems whatsoever. I was playing on the nintendo wii's fceux version.

I'll probably bet, whatever emulator he was using. not nestopia/fceux/nintendulator.

Emmm,, No, the AI was coded fine. The second case will be happened if the first case is wrong, and this about priority.

I pretty sure it's just about emulator which has a problem like was someone ever said about MM3 pause menu glitch in Gemini Man stage (well, that stage has parallax BG too).

Oh, glad if this just actually caused by emulator. Thanks Kain!

I hope there's no more programming errors which caused by bad code written accidentally.

Zieldak wrote in final release thread that Jnes can't handled Puzzle Man AI. But in VirtuaNES some of them works fine.
