Recently hyper negative criticism has been made on one of the You tube chanels regarding the hack Zelda3 Parallel Remodel.

So I as the author removed it from this site.

I'm willing to bet that your overall opinion on this remake is going to be crap piled on crap, sprinkled with crap, lit with crap 0/10 why does this piece of crap exist? What I have witnessed in your l.p. thus far is a complete and utter DEATH of what the original was, and I really don't know what else to say.

I can only assume that Parallel Remodel was made just to mock people who complained of the originals difficulty, I find it very hard to believe he was serious with this.

Whoever made this quest should be kicked in the face multiple times and never be allowed to make a quest ever again.

Ayuh...this remake should not exist indeed. The one or two good levels just could not salvage this mess...methinks the author was not trying very hard when he created this...it's obvious now he was stuck on a linear path lined with Beamos, leading to bright rooms of failure?

You actually found a bug. You were supposed to be able to get the L4 sword as soon as you enter the winter world! Seriously, fuck this remake.

It would seem that the author really loves linear paths, and vapid game play.

So after what I said about assuming this was just made as a joke to mock people and sadly from what I can tell it appears this was quite serious.

The Parallel Tower of the Parallel Remodel is a sad reimagining of what was an incredible climb. This is the moment the entire game builds up to? The Maiden's secrets in this version are worthless. The entire 7F was Empty Rooms, not even enemies. At least make some clear all enemies or Something. The sad part, the abysmally sad part is that Ganon's Tower is A Lot more difficult than this. This is a veritable joke!

I'm gonna have to give this a spin, I remember the hate this hack got when it first came out. I thought this hack was great, to me alttp was the best Zelda game made. I'm sure you put alotta time into this, I'm sure others would agree... ^^;

I've tried this patch many times, but, I can't get it to work. Just get a black screen/

My rom file said it's made on 03/28/1996

Yes, basically you have the wrong rom. This patch works only on the US rom done on 23rd august 2004 with no header. Ironically the core of the files is the same, but the 1996 has a header. So if you dont want to search for the 2004 file, you can also open the 1996 in the hex editor and erase the first 32 rows (bunch of zeros at the beginning). This is 512 bytes is dec or 200 in hex. Then your file will be identical to 2004 one.

As mentioned some place else, I'm going to give this a spin later! :3
Also, I put it up in the future box for more attention.

First let me start off by saying thank you for answering all our prayers for a playable game for us non masochists. The patch works for me too so thumbs up to start. Also this is great I never played through Parallel Worlds as it was entirely too hard. Now maybe its just me and I'm sure someone else must've brought this up before and I may just be a jackass that never noticed but I couldn't help but notice Link's right hand is missing at the beginning of the game.

Now if I'm just a jackass I'll just be on my way and sorry for...well being a jackass.

I am almost done with this remodel and I have to say that this was WAY more easier than the original. I would totally recommend this to a friend and recommend the original as a more challenging version to more hard-core Zelda players. Thank you puzzledude for taking your time to make this remodel for all who got really frustrated with the original!

I hate to bug you again,,, I got it running,,, When I go to the Kakariko Village, and go in the big cave (Which I'm assuming you're supposed to go in), it goes to a black screen and locks up.

@eternaldragonx

Link's sprite is altogether problematic. This is a gfx issue, so I couldn't fix this on the current locked rom. Not just this hand, also if Link is hit by electric, he will turn darker. Plus both bracelets will have the negative consequence to his face while moving objects (red colour of his face is no longer red).

@Kiokuffiib11

This is the same as in the original. It is not the best blocade for the lamp (but you can still exit the cave, by pressing down, you just cant see anything). Enter the cave near the church first.

There are some more issues that I couldn't fix and they all come from the original (most notably don't go to the dark world without having the Blue cane of Byrna and half magic). I really can't completely fix this since there is no blocade for this cane, so I can not force the player to pick it up, and yet you need it.

Edit
I've just realized I can port the new data to 1.1 version with text, titlescreen and other fixes. Will probably come up with 1.1 version in the near future.

Just completed the Zelda 3 Parallel Worlds Remodel. I must say you did an outstanding job on this. The overall experience this time around was much more enjoyable and felt more like a new Zelda game overall. There were times with the original version of this hack that I wanted to take a baseball bat to my PC. In short... I think this is how the hack should have been in the first place... but it's nice to have two versions out there for people to pick from.

If the remaining bugs and text issues could be fixed, this would be a more refined and polished hack, but don't get me wrong, it's great the way it sits now! Looking forward to more Zelda hacks from you in the future. Again, nice work!

I appreciate you comment. In couple of days I will come up with 1.1, that fixes the grammar in texts as well as adding new Tower clues, plus some minor bug fixes.

One of the Village houses in the dark world has a super bomb now. Take it and go to Lupo Quarry (carefull down the stairs = difficult, must be exact, otherwise the bomb explodes). Then place it in front of that crack wall.

You can't. 2nd quest is shorter. Get the 3 hidden chests at Farore's Secret cave. Then get the 2 blue potions, 2nd shield in Draegor's castle, remaining heartpieces. Then go to Ganon directly. After the end screen restart and you will be a bunny in the dark world. Get the 3 additional heartpieces and Save & Quite to come back to the light world.

EDIT
Just finished V1-1 (final version) with these updates:
1. In comparisment to 1-0 the Texts have been updated, since the 1-0 had the old texts from PW 1-0. The PR 1-1 takes the PW 1-1 texts and updates them further to fit the remodel. Specially the clues were changed to fit the new Tower.

2. In the village you could land on one of the NPC-s, which prevented further playing. The issue was fixed, but the hill-jumps from that cliff are still quite odd (can't be fixed).

3. Second quest (changed the content of the chest after Ganon).

4. Second quest (changed the first room of Impa's ways to prevent defeat (and the bug that comes with it).

5. Second quest (changed the first room of Sheik's hideout to prevent defeat (and the bug that comes with it).

Go to initial post for shortcuts.

I've found a crystal in the Following Dungeons

Rauru
Saria
Darunia
Ruto,
Impa,
Nabooru

Where's the 7th Crystal?

And if there's only 6, where can I get the Silver Arrows? I've found the final boss.

You are missing Sheik's hideout, left of the castle site, there's a cave, that leads there. But you must have used a cheat, because you can't enter Saria's gardens without finishing Sheik's hideout, that has the golden bracelet.

Silver arrows are in the Parallel Tower in the second room from the beginning.
