Hi Moppy & the community, nice to meet you all.

I've heard about this editor for ages and I thought that it wasn't getting finished at all, but suddenly BOOM! all these releases.

I've been playing with it for a couple of days and it work wonders.

I'm a video game programmer, who always wanted to create a mana-series game, but I lack the time to finish the code that I have, sprite everything (nearly done) and design the game, that's why I'm so happy with this editor.

I was trying to check for some instructions and in the old forum you said that there are no instructions and we should ask you.

My first goal is to redraw everything on SD3 style (which is more beautiful, in my opinion, but still is not so fluffy and cute as the legend of mana games and the ones after that one) but in order to do that I'd like to know something or have some instructions on:

1) How do I redraw tiles (both 8x0 and 16x0)? I mean, I'm able to edit maps by moving the existing tiles around, but I want to know how to redraw those tiles and if possible how to change the palette.

I hope you or anyone in the community is able to answer this, I will be waiting.

I'm very enthusiast with this project, I hope you get it running and finish it some day.

To edit the graphics you might want to try Tile layer pro or Mr Click's Tile ed .

I prefer tile layer pro better. You most likely will hear other people saying different things.

The graphics (At least most of them) seem to be uncompressed,,,, sou it should be fairly easy to edit. Also you might want to dig up a save file sou you can get the palette from it.

I hope this helps.

thats the thing... i dont wanna change the palletes so often because im editing the bg tiles, not the sprites (animated chars)

i know i can use one of those, but this would save me so much time if i just had an idea of how to use it (assuming its possible)

The editor will have (and does have, if I recall correctly) a basic editor for background tiles and such. I'll also allow exporting/importing other formats (probably 24-bit BMPs/PNGs, and match the colors to the closest I can find in the palette upon import)

There is a section called "Raw Tiles" that lets you edit these at the moment if I recall correctly. I'm sort of out of the loop with my own editor lately. But the way I have it set up for most things, you can rightclick on stuff you want to edit to bring up a menu, and it will let you edit it. I added a lot of little things like this to avoid having to search by eye, since that's a giant pain in the ass.
