The thread where I go on and on about my own ROM hacking projects which never goes anywhere fast.

ATM I am trying to start up my next super metroid hacking project again: Ice Metal 2; After having it put on a cooler for over a year to look over where I wanted to go with the project and what went wrong when I initially started it.

First thing on the agenda is of course to set up a starting ROM by applying all the patches needed. But for now, I am focusing on ripping this tileset I got inspiration to use yesterday:

The tileset is, of course, from Monster tales on the DS. And right now I am working on grabbing the rest of it and converting the heavy coloured image down into something that works on a 16 colour palette.

I am also going to insert a bunch of other tilesets that I have ready in advance, but that can be done later when the time comes to do the level design for those areas.

As for this thread? Think of it is a development blog but in topic format. :p
