Hey all, things have seemed pretty slow around here lately so I thought I'd share this to liven things up a bit. This hack has been around for a few years already, but I only heard about it maybe a month or so ago. So I thought I'd share this for those of you who haven't heard of it before.

Note: this hack is not mine. I take credit for absolutely nothing.

This is a hack of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64.
According to the story, Zelda's birthday is coming up and several of her friends have gotten her presents, only to have them stolen or lost. Link must then go on a journey to find these missing presents and make sure Zelda's special day isn't ruined.

This hack only has 3 dungeons, but they're fairly well done. 1 of the dungeons has been made completely from scratch, so the design is simple. I think the hack creator called this dungeon the "LoZ throwback dungeon" or something because it's similar to an original LoZ dungeon: every room looks the same, but there are different puzzles and enemies in each room and such.
The other two dungeons are familiar, but exits, puzzles, items, and enemies have all been switched around giving the dungeons a whole new feel.

The overworld remains mostly the same, but there are some new puzzles and such that you must figure out to get from place to place.

Talking about the game does no justice, watch the video trailer or play it for yourself!
Hope you all enjoy.

Don't take this the wrong way, but dont you think MM would have worked out better for your game ?
By the video, its look good man, but I think the system event in MM would have helped more, seing that your on a time line.

If MM hacking has not been fully initiated, then excuse my post for it.

Well first of all, this isn't my game at all.

But I can see your point. This might have been more interesting with MM's 3-day time system. Being constrained by a time limit certainly adds a certain level of depth to the game.

However, I don't exactly know how far MM hacking has come along, if anything is happening at all. Heck, until I stumbled upon this hack I didn't even know OoT had any real hacking progress.

Funny, right before I got banned from jul, the hacking community there was making quite a rapid process of hacking the game.
I haven't checked their sub-forum over there lately.

MM should be hackable indeed, if zelda's graphic data is in there, it should be quite doable.
If you remember the full intro in MM, thats a sign that nintendo may have the graphics needed to start a hack like this one.

Just a hunch, but anything is possible with the right hands working on it.
