There needs to be a standardized way to measure the level of capsaicin in food.
I like it spicy, but I don't like it "burning" in my mouth. I love texmex food. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I generally will enjoy spicy food if there's a flavor payoff. For example, I really enjoy the flavor of habanero peppers, and enjoy sauces and other foods flavored by it, even if it is pretty damn hot. On the other hand, I don't really like the flavor of jalapenos, so I tend to steer clear of them and foods flavored by them.
In general, I can withstand a pretty decent level of spiciness in food. I dunno if it's just me or if a lot of restaurants have really weak "hot" sauces for their wings or otherwise, but most of them don't even begin to phase me. There is one place around here that has a couple sauces that are designed to inflict pain, though. They're a wings joint, and if you can eat 16 of their hottest wings they'll put your picture on their wall. The sauce is called the wall sauce. To get on the wall you can't drink any fluids or other foods while you're eating the wings. I should mention that there is absolutely nothing enjoyable about this sauce. It is pure pain. In the times I've tried it, just getting it on my lips caused me considerable agony. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

Hotter the better. I like it when it's so hot other people complain they can't taste anything for how hot it is. I don't find that to be true, I find the spicer, the even more diverse the flavors are, and I love it when less spicy or even sour flavors are mixed in on the same dish. I have no problem sorting between different hot sauces on the same food (jalapeno, srircacha, white pepper and so on).
I regularly stock my fridge with sriracha and keep a shaker of white pepper around always. I hate that most restaurants do not have truly spicy food, even on Indian restaurants, you have to just about beg for them to bring anything that is truly spicy because they pussy it down so much for whites. ____________________ Robocop and 이명박 voted for me. |

Frankly I've grown enough of a tolerance that I need to go past Jalapeños if I really want to experience anything really. I usually put Jalapeños on anything that it's an option.. burgers, tacos, etc ____________________ "You must delete this ROM after 24 hours" |

I enjoy almost all spicy foods, even if my tongue and lips feel as if they are on their last legs. The spicy foods I've eaten, which inlcude but most definitely are not limited to jalapeños, habaneros, and hot wings off the top of my head (and probably many others) all tasted well enough for me. Old Mill's Eye Poppin' Kettle Corn is another great favorite.
Flamin' Hot snacks are barely even spicy to the point that I don't feel a thing. I remember eating them and thinking otherwise many years back. Posted by EmuzWe usually had some awesome cheese dipping "sauce" (or something like that) that was wonderfully delicious. One time, jalapeños were blended in, and spicy beef was added also. I liked it, but others were quite scared to take another bite. I'll just assure anyone that the fire department is ready to roll. ____________________ No quotes found; we apologize for the inconvenience. aw yeah this is the kind of spice I prefer, where it burns you and fills your throat with chile goodness but the flavors of the food still come through in your mouth shiracha sauce for instance does the opposite of this for me and just burns out my face, muddling everything it touches |
