The sooner you get out the latest release, the sooner I can keep editing my SMRPG mod. ATM, can't do any level edits and its kind of annoying since I play/edit @ the same time.

This has been identified and will be fixed in the new release, hopefully soon, as it is a pretty big bug. We're gonna have to prod Giangurgolo to have a backup page with past releases

Past releases have been available on my home page since the very beginning. v3.11.1 will be released tomorrow, a week from last release. I usually wait at least a week before releasing the next small update, and a month before the next big update to allow some time for bug reports to come in.

Ahh, darn it, I looked all over the page and somehow missed that little tab of older versions! Blast. Currently have been working on Destiny of an Emperor modding @ lordyuansu.com but have been visiting the SMRPG threads here trying to get some ideas for DOAEditor. I miss stuff with all the things to go through. Look forward to the next update.

Fire-WSP: the yellow parts of the pipes use a separate palette, the imported image only limits it to a single palette.

okay, this explains the color problems but how can i solve it then? Somehow i alse need to get the yellow parts correct

kogami: there are no more unused indexes available under the highest index 28 ($1C), the two new indexes point to the same text (Booster) in a fresh ROM but save as separate texts so don't worry
Fire-WSP: the import/convert into tileset from image code I have written can only use a single palette, so for now it's impossible to work around, sorry

In-Editor
>In the Editor only, Mallow is where Geno should be in the Menus and Formation player sprite position previews.

MENUS
>"Save" button at top left does not save. Saving works via "Menus have unsaved changes to ROM" dialogue.

>Changing which sprites that is used for the menu or the sequences does not prompt for a save, nor does it make changes to the ROM, even with the above method that must be used to make changes in the MENUS section.

>Using the Grayscale color option on the entire foreground palette set. Usually, there was a dialogue that said that "the palettes were saved being too big by X bytes and were not saved." And I assume this is what's happening with this.

In this regard, I will work on getting some more errors, providing I play around with it more. Thanks for being so vigilant with the program.

Edit 2:Actually, I'm going to regard the four questions you posted about these kind of things.
Edit 3: ...although I'm unsure if I should use those questions if it's not related specifically to garbled text or graphics.

Thanks for the report. Don't worry about the questions for these particular reports, I'll change the requirement for answering them to only corrupted data.

That would be possible to add an option to move the texts of menu on the left?

And to add a vwf in the menus of items for a new version?

I might be able to find the X coordinate for the texts and let the user change them, but making a VWF would require in-depth recoding of the assembly which is too much work for me right now.

Also, v3.12 will have a music editor. You'll be able to not only modify the instruments the SPCs use, but also the raw track data for the 8 channels.

Ok for the VWF, if you have no time to incorporate the option X coordinate for the texts in your tools, can you give me the address where it is in this rom, I would manage to do it manually until you add in Lazy Shell.

Otherwise I located the ending credit, it is at this

v3.12.0 has been released. This another big step for the editor because this release includes a music (SPC) editing portion. Check out the first post for the download link and more details.

For AUDIO...
To reproduce this bug, goto Audio, load the Battle Sound FX, and load {001} select action/menu, and click the Portamentro command, and go back towards the rest of the editor or a different window. This also occurs if you open {001} select action/menu, and click on a different window with the SPC notes and commands.

In addition to this, if one clears an SPC using the Clear function, one can't add any percussion samples to the Percussives range, enable any channels, import or export any scripts, or enable any channels.

If one imports a script with a note as one of the commands, the note doesn't have the duration listed in the .txt file. (Such as "Note play: C, 8th" turns into "Note Play: C, duration 0" instead.

Thanks for this release! The music editor is very fun to use.

Thanks for the report. I fixed the two bugs. You have to put "beat: " before the 8th to import that line correctly. So it must be "Note play: C, beat: 8th". Perhaps later I'll write a short tutorial on how to write track scripts.

I can't edit properly MENU dialogues.

I'm Spanish and if I add special characters, I can't edit attacks an descriptions.

All Spells are in this format

óFire
óDummy

instead

Fire
Dummy

And special char are dissapearing when I save changes... "¡" turns to "á" for example.

If your main language is spanish, by default you may want to change your language pack on your os so it will be easier for you to work with english based hacking utilities.

MikeFuryXP, looks like it is a but. I'm working on a translation and i added some custom chars and when you go to the ATTACKS editor you will see be ones at the bottom with that custom char. Specifically in the box right before the editable text it is supposed to be char [127] right after the ' but in the preview in the left it shows the text proceded by char [136] of the Menu font.

Or that is what it looks like since i'm using english OS with english settings...
