The last time I can remember being inside a cave was six years ago. The owners lit certain passages and large areas of the interior cave walls so that the limestone seemed to give off a glowing effect. Another cave I can remember entering was a small cave that we weren't even allowed to really walk into. We saw a forked stream, but this cave could only hold about twenty-six people. That was the only cave I can remember visiting, despite one being within approximately a miles' radius of my home.

You're

You're not going to ask us if we've been in any interesting caves?

Because I haven't. I like ground being below my feet.

I've never been in a cave, but I saw the end half to that sequel to the movie about those mutants in caves. I can't remember the name.

Was it 'The Descent'? That movie was pretty cool. I would rate it only 6/10 though.

That's awesome! Do you have any photos of your cave trips? You should make a new thread and upload them.

I've been in several caves myself...

EDIT: Cleanup is over. Caves, people. Discuss them.

As for a previously deleted post written by MMXPERT regarding why I don't like being in caves... just think how much all the matter above you weighs and how easily it could crush you. Isn't that just a scary thought?

No, that means that you are slightly claustrophobic.

Actually, what GM describes is a fear of potentially getting trapped. Claustrophobia is the fear of being trapped.

I think a -phobia by definition entails being afraid of possibilities rather than certainty. Being freaked out by the circumstances if you do wind up getting trapped under hundreds of tons of rock wouldn't be considered unusual or abnormal.

But if you refuse to go into caves on the possibility of being trapped. Well, it may not be a phobia of caves, but it seems like a slightly irrational fear of something.
