Why do I suddenly feel obsolete on staff?

Don't worry. You aren't. Though I know why you do, and since that's the question you asked, I'll answer it.

Actually, I lied. I don't know why. I voted you best staff member, because you moderate on a motherfucking DSi. That's hardcore.

There's a difference between doing something cool and being useful at it.

I can't keep up because I'm only on from my DS at night, after all the shit's been taken care of by the, now two, daytime staff members.

You know what I mean?

When are you going to rejoin us in the Story Forum? It's boring not being able to post. :/

I'll second that question.

Relatedly, I was once considering bringing in a fourth character just to have something to do while I wait for people to post in Crystal Keep.

Also, what's the green doomclock for? I should have known.

I just seem to have trouble getting into it. I mean, my writing style is... fine, I guess, but I've been just stuck in the lounge for a while (not even a few posts worth) not getting into anything. Just don't know how it works, I guess.

We all have that problem. There just comes time when there's not a whole lot going on, and everyone mingles in the lounge.

Since we run it entirely character-driven, it's up to us as the players to move what semblance of a plot we have along (usually, it's character development, or our personal arcs we work on).

If you can think something up, pitch it, and see what happens.

In your opinion, what is the likelihood that I will make it onto staff for whatever reason again?

That depends on a number of things. When it comes down to it though, honestly, you did do pretty good. But then again your thread in SAO is the biggest (ever) so if you can migrate from those habits then I would consider you for staff again.

Urge to archive binge to see if this is fact.

Oh, wait, setting records in this category is a bad thing. Even if it is somewhat amusing.

For the moment. I tend to get irritated by certain posting styles.

In the 1993 film "Demolition Man" starring Sylvester Stallone and Sandra Bullock, did you secretly root for Wesley Snipes?

Here is a link to the trailer if you need a reminder.

I saw this movie about three weeks ago. I absolutely did root for him. Because a world full of taco bells isn't worth living in.

Well, that's unfortunate, I don't understand why you'd root for the bad guy, especially when there was no guarantee he'd end the monopoly Taco Bell held on the public food industry.

Nick, I'm oblivious to most mainstream media. I'm socially inept and un-diversified. I live under the proverbial rock and only prey on media that just so happens to venture too close to it.

Elemental, I don't think that it has progressed far enough to become an "art" at all. SMRPG's complexity just puts too many people off. I don't think I've seen yet one full hack of the game, and I don't think we will for quite some time.

These statements are true, it really isn't an "art" per-se, and the reason Super Mario World pulls in so many people is how simple it can be to make a few levels, just some determination and playtesting.

And I think the same way: We won't see a "Full" hack for a while, until someone buckles down and pulls off something like Pixel did. It also depends on what can be defined as a "Full" hack. What does it mean to you, when you hear "Full hack?"

Something like Super Demo World, or Mario Adventure. It doesn't have to have new ASM hacks though, it just has to feel like a new, polished game. Super Metroid Redesign is a good example, as is Grime's Project Base, which is a hack of the original Super Metroid, but it changes just about everything except the level layout.
