This is rather old, but I felt the need to post this for some odd reason.
[I do not have a ips patch or anything of the such; this is old news.]

Note: I no longer need to do this manually, since a guy named "Lin" makes programs to modify the Zelda Oracle games!

well then you have my total pure 100% support if you do, i really hope.

I just recently was in the mood a week ago to try searching on google for any kind of possible known rom hacks of any of the zelda gameboys and only found one link's awakening hack called "zelda nightmares illusion"

It only had modified dungeons. nothing else was changed, no world map or text or anything except dungeons. But...well it was pretty glitchy and fustrating...because it placed the main weapons you get in the wrong order, so if you get stuck somewhere, it's permenate and no way to get out unless you reset the emulator...or worse, if you saved recently, may be forced to delete the whole entire save file. it happened to me at least 3 times and i was pretty pissed off by then until i quit playing

i'd like to play a real gameboy zelda hack

I know of a really good/badass hacker named Lin who makes programs to modify the Zelda Oracles: http://www.youtube.com/user/Linscape99
He's mainly known for his ZOLE (Zelda Oracle Level Editor). Look for his site on his page.

I'm also about to jump from modding N64 games to making programs and learn MIPS and C, so I can make programs to mod games and be a real champ and mess with Opcodes in the 64 games. A good friend of mine, Lee (sure are a lot of L's in here), is into Game Boy modification. I could talk to him about the Zelda Oracles; he too is very good at programming. His YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/Souylsin That's his old YouTube and only has Zelda Ocarina of time mods. My YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/Vexiant

ANYHOW, away from N64 modding, I'll talk with him about modding the Oracles. And will put making programs for the Game Boy to start me out into consideration.

There is a somewhat updated patch that does allow you to get to the 6th dungeon. It's still a pretty crappy hack considering I made it while with DES.

Man I havent been on this forum in ages. (My leading oracles joke atm).

All joking aside how are you guys? I decided to look around the web to just see the progress of other oracle hacks besides the 2 main ones out there atm. If you guys were to join our forums you can download ZOLE and be able to start on your own hacks, and belive me it is quite great being able to do it. You can use it to do either of the two but while ages is the only game which has the most support with ZOLE you could at least do a map hack with seasons.

I my self acually have a hack going on called: The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Hours. I was able to get Jon Leung's permission to use his maps and make an acual wouking hack of it. I may say its going quite well, completed overworld and dungeon mapping and currently have up to lv4 working flawlessly. Im working on an update soon and hope to get lv6 finished so others can play. (Yes I'm that Luigi1000 also)

The other hack would be Lin's and Fatories hack called: The Legend of Zeld Oracle of Nature, which after playing the first 3 dungeons they have out, its quite good.

So if you look for a good GBC Zelda hack dont worry, they be slowly comming and being developed.
