What was your least favorite game that you've played?

We've all played games that we've absolutely despised, which was the one that you despised the most?

Are we talking games we hated but beat anyway, or games we played, hated so much we immediately tore out the cartridge/disc and threw across the room?

If the former: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. I got it for Christmas with my PS2 one year, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt and played it anyway.

If the latter: None that I hated to the point of destruction, but there are several I just outright dispised.

Some are universally hated games, like the Atari ET. Others, not so much, like the Oddworld series.

I don't hate Oddworld so much as I have a distaste for the gameplay. I tried Abe's Oddyssey, but the stealth requirement drove me insane.

I hate stealth games. :/

"Legendary Wings" for NES. Had some strangely fond memories of it as a child, so I tried it again, and even though I absolutely hated it after a single level, I kept playing because I had nothing better to do.

Besides that, I recall getting "RC Revenge Pro" (PS2) as a gift when I was younger. Not a horrible racing game, but it had a tendency to freeze a lot, even though the disk was brand new.

For the Gameboy Color, i have Donald Duck: Quack Attack. I don't remember it being very good, the background music was also full of simple, mediocre bleeps (no envelopes for the sound channels). It was also hard, and i never beat it.

Another game i have is The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers for PS2. From what i remember, the game is very linear and the only way to actually beat it is to do everything perfect in every stage, since you cannot replay stages in order to level up your character more. I never managed to beat the final level.

There are some games that i own, i would imagine others say its crap, but i find them enjoyable, like Dennis for the SNES.

I loved Majora's Mask.

The time management aspect was an interesting concept.

the requirement of the expansion pack was dumb and if i remember right i had to play for like an hour just for it to save for the first time.

So when you first get a new game, you don't play it for over an hour?

I played MM on the Wii, and didn't like it so much. Some of the dungeon bosses are cheap bastards, it seems potions or fairies are sometimes mandatory.
I hated how you have to recollect stray fairies if you use the Song of Time.

It makes sense, though. You went back to a time before they were gathered. Besides, who doesn't get them all, then gets the reward on the first dungeon run? If you start at Day 1 - Dawn and slow time, you have no excuse to miss a faerie.

The time reset applies to bosses, too. In fact, before I go to the Moon, I refight the bosses after I make sure I have everything. I usually finish by Day 2 - Noon and have a Chateau Romani drank for the damn Goron dungeon's Heart Piece.

My average run though each dungeon, with time slowed started as early as possible on Day 1, are as follows:
Woodfall: Early evening Day 1 (usually 4 or 5pm)
Snowhead: Morning, Day 2 (usually between 8 and 11am, depending on Goht's fight)
Great Bay: Night of Day 2 (around midnight because Gyorg is a douche)
Stone Tower: Sometime Day 3 (Dependent on my faerie gathering and Twinmold fight, which is based on mana consumtion)

Well, it happened for me with all dungeons expect Woodfall. I had no idea what to expect for the battles with Gyorg and Twinmold, if you don't know them those take time..
Besides, i also missed the Fairy's mask so i was clueless how to get all of them in Snowhead. (There is no way without the mask, right? I messed around so much trying..)

Yeah, the Fairy's Mask is basically a requirement from Snowhead on.

As for those bosses, Gyorg will alway take forever because lolDickFish.

Twinmold isn't bad if you're quick on your feet, or if you used Chateau Romani for its infinite mana charge (the bar turns blue and flashes as if you're using magic). The Gilded Sword helps, too.

We're really derailing this thread... I think we need to stop discussing MM.

I know, I started the derailment, sorry. :/

Beowulf for Xbox 360, I hate that game. I'm glad I bought it for $5.99 and not for $60.00... ^^,

I could think of many badly designed games like Pitfighter, Daikatana, or the PC version of Lion King.

But my most hated game is that very old game with matches in GW-BASIC. It was deliberately programmed in a way that made it impossible for the player to win.

Majora's Mask is an amazing game. However, the expansion pack was for multiple games to improve the graphics and, I think, fix a few glitches in some games by extending the RAM. However, it can affect games that were produced before it's time, such as Ocarina of Time, negativity by making the graphics worse, etc.

Never got past the first dungeon of OOT, too boring. I made it some ways into the first disc of Final Fantasy VII, also turned off for being boring.

Other than those super popular ones and others like what AVGN reviews (which probably doesn't count so much), can't really remember much.
