Oh, that's easy to fix.
The doors are not solid by themselves. You need to place wall tiles to where the door closes, so just simply make a TSA block that's same as the background, and set it to "Wall". Then make a structure like this: W = Wall B = Background W B W B Every closed door is made solid this way.So Mega Man actually goes through a wall every time he enters a door. |

Hmm, thank you.
New question: - For Mega Man 3, the editor seems to set the wrong CHR bank for a stage. What's in the Tile Table viewer doesn't match what an emulator loads. Screenshot: |

oh, there is a limit here i'll explain.
Megaman 3, and 5 use CHR-ROM. all the other megaman games dont, so this only applies to 3 and 5. What that means is that the NES will completely ignore any odd numbers. - 1, 3 5, 7, 9, B, D, F.... 51, 53, 55, 57, 59....etc etc. You can only use even page numbers. 00, 02, 04, 06... or in your case for top man graphics - 58, and 5A So for the emulator to load the graphics properly, you need to type a 5A in the 2nd box. Sorry it's just the way the NES works when it's using CHR-ROM like this. |

Got it. I've just set Nintendulator's CHR viewer and you're right. Thanks for the help.
New question: is possible to expand the amount of scroll data? Max is 16. |

Put the COMCT232.OCX in the System32 folder
Primary drive, usually Local Disk ( C: ) > Windows > System32 Then right-click the Megaflex app then Run as Administrator. ____________________ |

I tried to insert Rockman 3 title screen into the US Megaman 3 rom but I didn't understand how to do that. There are so many things to change (tiles, tilemap, palette attribute...), is this editor even able to do that and if yes could someone lend me an hand? |

why exactly do you want to do that ? I dont understand. Why not just stick to editing a Rockman 3 rom ??
It kind of doesnt make sense, or you could try to replace the english Megaman logo graphics with the Rockman 3 one using YY-CHR/Tile Layer Pro. ..i guess At $5D010 you'll find the logo graphics there for both roms |

That's because I'd lik to make an english version with a japanese style title screen police. Once I'll be able to insert the japanese logo, I'll alter it to say "Megaman - Dr Wily's end!?"
It's just a matter of finding the tilemap and the palette attribute since I've found everything else. |

i see, well, you can just try inserting your graphics over the original megaman 3 logo graphics,
again, there located at $5D010 in both japanese/english when viewing in Tile Layer Pro, or YY-CHR. and in MegaFLE, these circled parts are where there located on the tables, there's a few spots on the TSA table with a group of 4 0's in a block, those are un-used spots in case you need a few extra slots. The graphic of megaman in the bottom right can be done with a simple small piece of code, cause that graphic does exist in the Megaman 3 ROM already, just wasn't active for whatever reason https://i.imgur.com/BcLhHH0.png |

It's almost done but the missing part is actually some sprite like the graphic of Megaman.
By any chance do you know how to enable it? |

I've found it! It was just one bit to change:
310AC: 0B If you want to try it use this patch on a fresh Mega Man 3 (USA).nes Rom Thanks to Kuja Killer, this patch is based on his Megaman III improvement patch. I've corrected "Willy" for "Wily" too. EDIT: fixed version 2: https://mega.nz/#!hbolGaZB!uiqDXTfh0RDZ4qu7lOio_gL8mKPzSu1BWifJI3i0UpI |

alot of them are in other languages than english though, kind of sucks not being able to undestand a word these people are saying about the hack. |

Yeah but I had a good time with this one it took a week to record and assemble it.
When I saw him working on this I figured why not give it a run. I have to admit rock man 3 is sort of tougher than the american version but nothing I couldn't beat. I would like to see him do that for rockman 4, I never did like roman numerals in the mega man games. |
