Where can the fire rod and cane of somaria be obtained? 4th dungeon wasn't that bad the eye was very tedious though. I can see where the cane of somaria is needed but I don't know where to find it. In the dark world, I'm landlocked between the 6th dungeon and the gorilla statue dungeon (which I can't figure out how to switch the color block in the entrance as it is guarded by a large stone locked by dividers). I got a message mentioning something about using the medallion at some swamp in the parallel world but I can't find that either. |

Plot ahead
----------------------------------------------------------------------- Let's go chronologically 1. 4th dungeon (south dungeon) You've said you are in the dark world, then you have finished this dungeon. So how did you light these torches? 
Well, you were supposed to do this with the fire rod (but you say, you don't have it). The fire rod is hidding here. 
The star tells you, that something is hidden. The only thing you can get to is a stone block next to the star. Bring the brown bumps down, stand in front of the block and press the lift button. With fire rod you can get keys, and with them a big key and with it the big chest, and with the element from it, you can come to the boss. (I don't know if you have already done this). 2. 5th dungeon (north dungeon) By now you have the boots, so you can break these rocks and go to the 5th dungeon. There are 2 big chests in here. 
3. 6th dungeon You've said you are land-stuck. Go to this area and use the element from 5th dungeon to enter. 
4. 7th dungeon (last dungeon) Use the Ether medallion from 6th dungeon at the entrance to freeze the enemies. Now you can lift them up... (this is a new trick, my idea). PS -Ignore the text. -Ignore the things fleshing on the map. -In the dark world there is no map. -Ignore the dungeon maps. -Don't get defeated in the dark world (only outside) (you have 90% chanse to do so). |

Yes, it is.
Well, Zelda games are supposed to be difficult. But I didn't know how challenging should it be. Some things are maybe to difficult, but that's why we have forums. You said you love Zelda, and you finished the Master quest in one day, so I think you can finish this game too. Tip After rescuing Zelda, go to the forrest (north). |

You will find this game a lot different from Shards of Might.
It has new gameplay and remodeled dungeons, but the core is the same. So basically this is a hack of a hack. You can't solve it the way you were solving the original game. This was done, because Shards of Might had for instance titan glove in the sequence of gaining elements, but this would lead to bug area and bird statue was bugged. So you have to change thins. Similar in dungeons. Debugging was therefore connected with remodeling and new sequences, that would change the game a lot, but you can't call it a new game. The new name of the game was necessary though, because you have to solve it differently and because the new game is solvable, all previous versions were not. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- King Dodongo started a Walkthrough of this game on You Tube. version (new mountain area and zora domain, one more semidungeon, a lot of new caves... basically it will be the extended version of the game with text, map and other fixes). Coming soon. |

New locations for ice rod, flippers and moon pearl. 3. New overworld areas (mountain areas, Zora domain and the grave area). 4. Fixed overworld maps. 5. Various overworld sprite and drawing updates. 6. A lot of new caves and small dungeons. 7. One more semi dungeon. 8. New darkworld areas (new locations for two darkworld dungeons). 9. Link's door is fixed (it was bugged before) 10. When you are defeated in the dark world, you can restart normally (there was a bug before) 11. Darkworld sprites are updated (they were bugged before) 12. Updated dungeons (for instance the gameplay logic of the 3rd=water dungeon was changed. It is now more complex, the 2nd=one-room-dungeon is completely new, etc) 13. New testing. 14. The game is longer (extended), has less bugs and it is more challenging. |

The walkthroughs on YouTube are all before version 2.0 so things have changed.

This is version Goddess of Wisdom v2-0! (new and final version of the game)
After you get the first crystal, go to the village and then go left (where the pyramid is). In this area go left and then down. If you continue, you'll come to the cave. Remove the rock with the power glove and get the Cape. Return to the village. Now go south (down), at the bridge turn left. There is a cave in the wall at the end of this road. Go through it (you need a cape). (This is simillar as in the old version). Now you'll come to the new grave area. The dungeon's entrance is in the middle of the graves (this is a small = one room dungeon = planed by Omega, so I couldnt make it longer, but it is full of tricks; watch for the star. It says that something is hidden). |

I managed to get to the end of the third dungeon, but I must have done something wrong! I tried getting back to the other switch (there's only one other one right) but the red was up and I couldn't get to it. Help! EDIT: Nevermind, I found the boomerang and reversed the switch, but I cannot defeat the boss! Any hints? Edit 2: Oh man you have to spin attack to damage parts of the boss, I cannot do it with that fire shooting at me, even with two fairies!!! I think I give up. This boss is too hard: no space, fire shooting at you, AND you must charge spin attack for damage. |

There is a trick. Pull the small spheres with Hookshot,
then destroy them with Ice Rod. This Rod is in the cave just south of the village. Remember the Pyramid. North of the pyramid there's a cave. In there you have the Mirror Shield to block the shooter beams. There are 2 bottles in the village (buy one from the bottle guy, the other is in the small house). The third bottle is in the forest. Go to the very west and very north, and enter that cave. With 3 fairies, Ice Rod and Mirror Shield you can defeat this enemy, but without this items it is probably impossible. It is also adviced to play with the joystick (I hope you have it already). |

Posted by puzzledude Alright, thanks for the help! I will go out in search of the rod and upgraded shield now. But I am playing using my keyboard and no joystick.
EDIT: I returned with three fairies, the ice rod and the mirror shield. I could not defeat the boss because I used up my magic quickly and eventually died with no fairies. I guess I have to go and buy three blue potions to stand a chance? |

Since you are playing with the keyboard, I'm sure it will be very
difficult to finish this game. In the next dungeon there are 2 bosses, that are more difficult than this one. Try it with full health potion. If this doesn't work and you get frustrated use this cheat code. Posted by puzzledude Thanks, hopefully I will not need to use the cheat code though. I beat the boss and have found the flute to advance to the next level, but after I got the master key I could not make it to the boss room. 
Do I need to get to that room where I got the fire rod and fall down the hole I see there? Edit: Nevermind, I used the pegasus boots to jump across! The boss is an interesting one, everytime I get to the red jumping knight I die, but I will continue to try (I have two fairies). |

Yes, you can jump across big pits with the shoes.
This boss is a special one. It's actually a result of a uneditable sprite gfx in the game itself. Can be frustrating, so I heard. Here you definatelly need some potion. It is also adviced to get full arrows (30). When you come to the red knight, multi use the sword and hit up, and he'll just bump on the sword everytime. |

I have entered the next dungeon and I find the enemies are much more powerful, is there any option available for me to upgrade my weapon or armor? |
