What you just told us is very vague. What is your hack about? What is the story like? What environments are the bosses located in? What is Mario's goal in that area? You need to give us some more details about your hack, and not just random boss fights.

Setzer, temper :-p

theflyingjam, if you know what its going to be about please tell us.
If you are just testing your skills, please inform us

This is not a useless post, i have an idea

This may not seem very unique, its actually very generic, but if you can think of an ice boss to make. This game wouldve been perfect with an ice place, or an ice boss. Thats my only idea, very generic though

the boss needs to be harder:

High hp, high attack and defense and magic too.
a big variety of attacks and his specials, strongs and with his secondary effects ( such as poisoned, sleeping, mute, etc.

This things may help you,

Mario is going on a trip to Michigan? Hahaha! That's pretty funny! I think we need at least one joke hack around here. For bosses, you could include things like a Detroit Tiger, your Evil Vending Machine, and ONE ANGRY TOURIST

How about some stalker guy, or angry old lady, or a crazed fan of mario!

And maybe a really fat cockroach...

I've almost never seen a cockroach up here, they mostly show up further south.

alright so maybe those others were a little far fetched..

how far along in the hack are you? perhaps I can help you if you need something? I'm alright at storylines, but something realistic/random like yours could be hard to come up with a good develpoing story...

I'm pretty good with making challenging, yet fun boss fights that keep you on the edge of your seat

You could add in some new puzzles in your hack. I've yet to see any hacks that do that in their game.

alright no problem, oh and @setzer, This my be a little off topic, but a great puzzle hack I've heard about is called Hyperbound. It's based off earthbounds engine, but he completely transformed the game into something truly fantastic. you should youtube it, i really want to try it out.

I've actually heard of that before, but I was more or less referring to a Super Mario RPG hack with puzzles.

Oh my mistake, but yes a smrpg with a more puzzling feel to it would be interesting. I'm not one to say I like puzzles, but maybe a smrpg flavored puzzle game is just what I need =D

The most "Puzzles" that the game really had itself were the ones in the Sunken Ship, and the Hammer Brother ones in Bowser's Castle.
