i totally know what ya mean about that.

im always constantly complaining to myself seriously tons of times how i wish i could get to have stuff on my game like SNES or genesis countless times ughhh..

Like "i wish i could have just 1 single little more color in order to make so and so appear correctly...or fix certain enemies mixed with others"

"i wish i could have this opcode from the SNES for programming"
"i wish i could...blah blah blah so many other things"

but i know we have to just deal with nes limits.

i know exactly what you mean. the limitations of the nes can be realy annoying sometimes. man everything would look so much better with just ONE more color in the pallette. Or what if the tile window just could be 1/3 bigger? Things would be 100 times easier.

That's one of the main reasons why I discontinue my Megaman 1 hack in the first place. Even with palette and ROM limitations, there's NO way that can fit even after 1MB (1,024 KB) of the NES Size. Too much size won't even load.

Programming to create fan games even Megaman fan games like most of RockmanPM members don't have limits.

Long ago, I heard at nesdev forums about a pretty tricky to pull of "hack" wich allows the hacker to insert more colors per sprite than normal.
Don't know if it's possible, but it would be cool.

dont you mean putting sprites over tiles? to make it look like there are more colors then possible? that way, you could use 6 colors on a "tsa square". instead of 3(if you dont count the first color to). i suppose

I suppose too.
Is that even possible to do in the MegaMan 4 engine? If it is, it would be pretty useful for hackers like infidelity, kuja killer, and, obviously, Matrixz.

Hi, I've been playing this demo and I've to say it's one of the greatests Megaman Hacks I've ever seen.

I've one question though: How I'm supposed to pass a section in wingman's stage where there are those arrow accelerating floors?. I can pass the first ones but there's one that's too short to achieve the required speed to jump the pit.

Is rush jet in this stage? Is it before the pit area?

Thanks for any replies!

To cross the pit you need to a trick where you do this: once you jump off the arrows, you turn back (while in the air) so that you land on the start of the arrow floor. You must hold Right when landing so that you keep running forward to gain speed. You will then gain more speed, and if you do this repeatedly you will get enough to cross..

But! That isn't the main pathway. Its just a secret section of sorts. The main path goes down from the "section" before that, where there is the big red enemy and weapon energy. You drop down into the pit there.

And yes, Rush Jet is later in the stage.

Wow! I always have a dream of making a 8-bit Classic Mega Man game, but still I don't know what to do first! It's awesome that you made a new game! Could I learn somethin' from you?
