(Likely the persons asking things like "how do i get the yellow coins in random hack #456356" won't read this thread anyway, but in these cases, there will at least be something to refer to when closing the thread.)

If you have a question relating to a present hack, there is generally the option of asking the author via PM or e-mail, given he is on this board (and that is mostly the case). If this option, for whatever reason, does NOT exist or the author refuses to give you hints, you should either
(a) cope with it / try to figure yourself as the author intends you to
or (b) post the question in here.

Posting a new thread about your issue is NOT an option.

I was initially thinking of making this a sticky in ROM hacking, making it refer to all hacks, but thought it'd be better to try in here first. A thread like this in ROM hacking would only guarantee the ones who intend to post their threads in SMW hacking would not pay attention to it. In case this works well, there still is the option of moving this thread to ROM hacking or creating a similar one there.

My question is, in Golden Yoshi's Super Mario World Plus, how do you beat Marshmallow Land 3? When you get to the end of the level, there's a question mark block with Yoshi Wings in it, but I've looked in EVERY LEVEL and gotten all the secret exits and normal exits (minus Marsh. Secret 1 since you need Yoshi for that) up to that point and I can't find Yoshi anywhere. Where is he? Is there a different way to beat the level that I'm not aware of?

To quaker3332: There's only one Yoshi in the entire game and he's in the first level (aka Yoshi's Island 1 in the original). To find him, you have to jump off a Parakoopa and into a pipe hanging from the sky with the bottom over a bottomless pit. Use a cape to make it easier on yourself. Yoshi is hiding there but grab him as you run by him because there's a medium (I think) scrolling on that section of the level.

Might as well ask this question again since it didn't get answered last time.

I'm stuck on the first Super Mario World Returns. I've already found the Blue Switch Palace but not the Red Switch Palace. I've already beaten these levels so far.

All 3 of the Flower Island levels
All 3 of the Goomba Plains level as well as Goomba Secret and Thwomp Castle. I found the secret exit in Goomba Plains 2.
All 5 of the Mine of Chuck levels.
Both of the Crystal Mountains levels.
All 4 of the Great Showers levels. I also found the Great Showers 2 secret exit and beat the Shower Secret level.
All 4 of the Sea of Soda levels, the Soda Fortress Zone, and the Water Castle.
The Secret Base Zone 1C which leads me to a pipe going to the Sea of Torpedos.
The Sea of Torpedos, Pirhana River, and the 3 Sunset Wilderness levels.
All 4 of the Cannon Valley levels.
Both of the Blizzard Gardens and the Blue Switch Palace.
The Secret Base Zone 1A and 2.

I've pretty much beaten all of the levels and found the secret exit to the 2 red dot levels. I just need to know what level I must beat again that will take me to the Red Switch Palace.

So, how DO you get the yellow coins in random hack #456356?

Also, I nominate this thread for sticky-ing.

I'll also re-ask my question.

I've found everything in Francis64's SMW: Symphony of the Night except for the secret exit in Valley Of Bowser 2. Anyone know how to beat it?

Unfortunately, nobody has answered the big question:

So, how DO you get the yellow coins in random hack #456356?

After all, even if hack no. #456356 hasn't been made or shown to the public, we can still... I cant stand this. Typing on a Wii is hard.

I never type on my Wii except for when I get e-mails from some people. Making a post would probably take a month for me.

In Second Reality 2, how exactly do I get the secret exit in the first castle (Kamek's Magic Castle?) as well as a lot of other secret exits. My exit amount is abysmal...

To get to the secret exit your must fireball the right wall separating the door and the main path. I believe it's before the midway point. Then you must go through a vertical level with sideways layer two spikes. It's really annoying so try to bring a cape as well.

If I recall correctly, Francis64's hack was unlocked when I used to have it. Unfortunately, I can't confirm this because I left that hack behind on my old computer. Also, the link to the hack is broken and it isn't on SMW Central either.

You can open Lunar Magic and see where the exit is yourself.

Eh, I don't romhack so I've never touched Lunar Magic. That and I prefer to beat games on my own, but I probably will just go ahead, download Lunar Magic, and do that. Wow, I've known you can do that forever but the thought just never occurred to me since I don't ever use it. I seem to be on a roll lately with being slow!

There's a secret exit in the level "AREA 16B." To get to it, you must have pressed all the switches. When you come out of a pipe at one point, you'll land on some green ! blocks. Just follow the now accessible path to the secret area, then work your way through the bonus area with the saw blade. Once through there, you must go through a fake wall in the end of bonus area to find another hidden bonus area. You must have the yellow switch pressed to continue in this new yellow area. Go through the door to end up in a blue area. Grab the springboard when you come across it and carry it until you find the door. You need the blue switch to enter this door. In the next red area, grab a POW from one of the blocks and use it to reach the next door. You must have the red switch to reach this door. After this, you'll end up at the secret exit, a little ways ahead.

In SRPII, how does one open those locked doors in Hotel Horror? I keep grabbing the Key thing on the 7th floor (I consider it the 7th floor, but its location is accessed from the 8th), but all that happens is it's "collected" like a coin, and nothing happens. If I leave and come back, it's back. If it's the Locked Door thing, I'm stumped. Perhaps I'm looking for the wrong locked door? I've tried the ones on Floors 1 and 10, but....

Nevermind, I got it. The key was, of course, only for one door. But you obviously have to get it TWICE in order for the bit to be set correctly.
