What'd you figure out for his low health pattern then? He keeps three hit killing me before I can even land a hit on him X_x

Sure thing no problem

Go there. This little tool called Lunar IPS

And you need a un-modified clean megaman 3 rom (hope you looked at the readme)

Follow the instructions when clicking the "apply IPS patch" button on that little program. Says you need to open the .ips file, then double click the un-modified mm 3 rom

This is very cool, Kuja! Although... I am currently stuck, so your hack is not error-free. In Duplex Man's second stage, I went through a warp while it was on blue, then I warped back and noticed I went to a different area with a green hatch, meaning I could not go through it. Realizing this, I warped back to the previous area, and again, I went to another new area with a green hatch blocking my path. So that tells me your teleporters are slightly wonky. XP

The outside of Bolt Man's tower is still brutal to an unfair extent (I think) because there's no set time when the wind changes direction. I thought there was, so right when the wind was in my favor, I jumped. Then it instantly shifted to combat my progress, and I plunged. What I would suggest, to make it tolerable, is to have the wind blowing a certain direction for a minimal time (say, three seconds) before it can adjust. I know the idea is to have unpredictable wind, though when there are jumps largely dependent on where the wind flows, it's a game of chance with certain jumps. It's your hack, so it's really your call.

Other than that, it's a really nice hack. You have so much potential, it's almost blinding to me. Even with the slight glitches/frustration I experienced above, I am honored to be able to try this out. Thank you, and if you need help with anything, I will offer my services, what little I have. XP

Thank you for the comments keyia, everything you guys say, everyone's support will mean very very much to me.

Well i fixed the blowing wind issue last night so it is NOT random anymore.

There was also a big problem demonstrated in bluestar899's youtube video of the space station stage where the special ending wouldn't ever trigger properly (it was supposed to happen when he beat duplex, but it didn't)

I just fixed that just an hour ago. ..it's too late for me to re-upload with over 250 downloads already. i feel real bad that i didn't FULLY check the coding of this little special event before i released this to the public. You can see it if you beat duplex after his conversation with megaman..if you die..it wont happen unless you get a game over and do the conversation again.

**WARNING** do not watch bluestar's video on the space station if you dont want to be spoiled reguarding the heart tank

Also i need to know exactly where in the stage your issue was that you explain. everything should all work just fine 100% ... you can eventually get stuck near the end until you find out exactly what your supposed to really do.

I do not want to reveal the answers to everyone

And yes i do need all the help i can possibly get from people to continue this hack ... i wanna start on necro man very very extremely soon. I DONTwant this to take another 6 months or so.

Me and megaman-omega know what kind of levels it'll be.
He thought of what the 1st level theme half will be, while i know what i want the 2nd level half to be based on, for necro man

Well, nobody ever bothered to answer on 2ch,
nobody ever bothered to answer on rockman PM forums...i'll just try here.

I just only wanted to know what any of you guys think about the space station level (the 2nd official half of duplex) .. is it alright ?
I hope people would appreciate more about this level than just only playing it. Like the whole concept of it being a maze and having to interact with with a computer system.

The graphics, and escpecially the scene for duplex man's room. and duplex's AI behavior that took over 7 months to code alone. Only have know what ryudo and thantas-zero think.

I seriously wanted to know what people think about that besides just the space shooting level only.

what about the story talking ?? The intro with dr light and mm, and duplex and mm's conversation ... is it okay ?? This demo was held-back for over a month just because of trying to think of the talking stuff..

The boss room for Duplex Man is indeed kickass, I wish other games had backgrounds that neat for bosses.

As for the boss music, it's probably fine unless you really want something different. I didn't really like the Mega Man 10 boss music as .. boss music though.

Duplex Man's AI seems kinda nice, especially compared to a lot of other bosses in Mega Man history. I like the attack pattern changing after half health too.

edit:

I wrote a bunch of mega man esque music awhile back, here it is in NSF format if you want to listen.. If you want to use any of those themes, feel free as long as you credit me somehow as original composer... i can also share the source if you want, but it's MML (PPMCK) so the files that are generated don't really fit with your engine, I'm sure.

Thanks glad you liked the scene for duplex's room. That huuuuuge graphic of earth alone that megaman-omega came up with took up the whole entire BG nes pallete (12 or 13 colors) .. and almost 1 whole entire 256 tile page,

i BARELY managed to even get it in at all because the whole space station level data was already like 95% in use before putting it in, so i had to go all out by transferring part of the space station tileset to a whole entirly different level ID ...just to have that very special background to go along with duplex's plan of crashing the station into earth as he mentioned in the storyline conversation.

The earth being there is the whole entire reason for this space station level in the first place. hehe
Glad you liked it rushjet, that's at least a comment i was hoping for.

That's why i was so eager to wanna know what people would have thought about these things.. not just ONLY "playing the game"
------------------------------------------------------------------

Well i would want more songs for this game since there's extremely little, i just have a very terrible time trying to decide on what kinds of songs i would like even though people have already fed me many suggestions and i haven't considered anything A+ yet for the upcoming Necro man in terms of songs.

I looked at your zip file, i recognize all those songs. From your ultimate 15 minute long NSF/mp3 of a whole complete set of game songs all made into 1 single whole song. I loved it very much. But i dont know if any of these i would think about taking though. And of course if i did, i would credit you obviously for sure out of respect. As i do with everyone on anything that i "cant" do like graphics, music, level design and such

hey Rushjet1 big fan of your songs, not only megaman styles but other chiptunes of you... I know alot about whole music genres in general so I know many artists and such and your one of my fav. chiptune and bitpop artists aside from She, Nullsleep, Trash 80, IAYD and SMILETRON.

Btw, kuja. I sent you the newest ver. of unfinished NecroMan stage 2 tiles. Oh and please use Rushjet1's songs since they're all awasome.

Oh and Rushjet1 it would be awasome if you let him use your other non-megamanish compositions. ^^

unless he'd retool them to sound like mega man songs (he'd have to as he's using the actual game engine) that'd be impossible in most cases, and in the cases it's not impossible, you'd want it to sound like a mega man song for a mega man game, right?

Yea i cant do music, since im not a music composer.

ONLY if something is in the fami-tracker format, then i might possibly maybe be able to convert it to the capcom mm3-6 music format myself ..but very low possibility of me being able to do so on my own unless i was to ask matrixz again ..

EDIT 2: Actually it's still garbled but less than it was. I might because I'm using an old version of FCEU.

Someone enlighten me; I can't get it to patch to any Megaman 3 rom without getting a ton of garbled graphics all over the place.

What emulator are you using? If it's JNES then yeah you'll just get a mess of graphics. The game works on either FCEUX or Nestopia.
