Sorry kuja killer, I have to go with Mega Man Ultra 2. I'm going by popular demand but I'm sure that it's still a good project.

Voting results from Insectduel's Board January 2010 Mega Man hack of the Month.

Mega Man Odyseey - kuja killer 18% (4)
Mega Man Ultra 2 - infidelity 50% (11)
Mega Man Forever - Matrixz 32% (7)

KP9000 will be the second. I really like his SMB3 work than anyone else.

My third choice for "Best ROM-Hacker" will be my random choice so I don't really know who else I'm really pick.

You're having people vote for who they want you to vote for...? ...?

Don't read too much into it. All users at that board are sockpuppets of his anyway.

It isn't like this is a political voting to elect the people who shall govern board2 for the next four years. The Mosts are just an ancient tradition that's basically about fun and communicating one's perception of the others (and, perhaps, also an opportunity to get back on them or vent amassed frustrations ) through the months since the previous ones. The whole point of the ritual kind of stands and falls with as many people as possible voting, so even if you are a newbie - especially if you are a newbie - you should vote. We old farts expect you to.

so its like the presidential elections

Except for the fact that no one actually gets anything from "winning" any categories, sure, why not.

Whatever happened to the lame trophies we used to get

Oh, hey, I've got an idea. Separate trophies for each category.

No one is going to put forth the effort to make those.

Anyway, I was being serious, I didn't make trophies because I already made ones for Neritic, but going with the season fashion, we can use these badges:

That looks quite... web2.0ish. Do you have vector graphics of this/can you make the background transparent? Also, I think

- some texture on the bands
- less shading on the same
- a bit more shading on the medals themselves (i.e. drop shadows rather than just the gradients on pits)

would contribute a lot.

Still, nice work. Thumbs up.

Those medals are on a transparant backing.

Oh, he put them into a coloured frame. I see.

Apologies; I am somewhat distracted at the moment.

Yes, they are vectors

I'll fix the bands latter on, meanwhile...

Any visual example of what you mean? I think I know what you mean but since the medals are cartoonish I think the effects would clash, let me see what I can do.

Thanks for the feedback.
