where is this rockman 2 claw ??
I heard it mentioned on the rockman remodelling 2ch board on post #279, and 287. But there wasn't any links to the author's site or anything. I'd love to try it without looking at your video! |

Hmm kuja, what are those UNKNOWN parts in the song data your document keeps mentioning? Is that just pointless junk I can freely replace with my music data or is that actually used for something? |

everything i post is for mm3, i know absolutely zero percent about offsets and stuff for any of the other NES mm's beside 3 im afraid.
And za909, i dont really remember to be honest, because i wrote these guides years ago when i was just getting into rom hacking. |

Oh well, it's fine I guess I'll just have to experiment with it.
But there's one thing you could probably help me out in. How could I completely disable MM's sliding ability? (I guess setting some sort of sliding time / distance byte to 0 would do) |

but there's one more thing that doesn't really work for me. So you know that rush selecting glitch fix you did. Now I actuallly want to make it so you can't select any rush items at all (or just RC is fine and make it so you can't press down on it) |

Okay you'll have to change it again.
instead of B0 on 43DD...first put C9 01 B0 - on 43DB instead this will disable pressing right reguardless if you have rush marine and jet. -------------------------------------- Now for an extra - 3DC70 - 60 EA This will make it so that you dont get rush jet and marine from beating the bosses who would give it to you. But it's still going to show the text though saying "you got [weapon] and rush marine/jet" unless you delete the text saying that --- just the "and rush marine/jet" if you want that too then i'll reply back |

The text is fine, I use a text editor for the text that uses table 1, and for 2 I made a .tbl file and use hexposure (fceu's hex editor doesn't seem to work for some reason) |

Looks like I need a tiny bit of help again. I need the game to load the new palette at the weapon get screen for the BG palette and not the sprite palette. Is that easy to do? |

Get Weapon Screen Palettes: 31D26 - 31D45 314E2 - Delay time between when the image appears, until it begins to move across the screen 314EA - How far the image of megaman moves across the screen until it stops 314EF - Frame speed for how fast the image scrolls across the screen. do NOT set too high. 314FA - Delay time for after the image stops moving, until text is written to the screen. |

WOW looks like I was really stupid as the game applies those palettes to the BG layer by default...
Also I seem not to be able to skip the doc robot revisiting process the way I'd like. I can make the game go to Wily 1 by selecting Mega Man's mugshot by putting 0C to 31CFF but I can't make the game go to the dr.light cutscene before it...actually the map screen is what I really care about (putting 16 there which is supposed to be the dr.light cutscene makes the game crash after the boss intro jingle) |

Is it possible to make the game play the long verson of the Protoman whistle song forever during the credits too? (so the actual credits music is not played after beating the game) (I'm talking about MM3 of course) |

It's possible.
It's very simple. If you find a song/sound number that plays the credits music, then disable (Put EA) 5 bytes of a code. OR change the song number where the credits is played. |

This probably needs some assistance from a MM3 expert (who could it be lol...)
At the get weapon screen the BG palette is the following: ($31D26 - $31D35) 0F 20 26 0F | 0F 0F 0F 0F | 0F 0F 0F 0F | 0F 0F 0F 0F And to make the text appear row after row, the game loads 0F 20 26 0F to the other 3 palettes too...now the thing is that I need the last one to stay unchanged after the text appears (I don't have the AND RUSH JET / RUSH MARINE text in the game anyway) |

Now seriously, please a moderator or admin or someone delete my previous posts asking people to DO WORK for me because they are just ridiculous. They are a waste of space, and most of the time I either got no response at all and decided to use plan B, or I found out how to do it myself... I'm not saying that people suck because they don't take the time from their lives to help me, I'm still very thankful for every bit of info, I'll show my progress off as soon as I'm done with spriting which seems to be the most difficult part of the hack. |

It's fine, now while I'm at it...if you want to help me, gimme something about weapon settings (hitboxes would come had too but since most enemies will do pitiful damage because I don't intend this for hardcore megaman fans only, I can do withoth that)
With experimenting I've only found this useless thing: $3D2FA - This controls something about firing he Shadow Blade. Default is $04. When it's not default, sometimes the projectile stays in place forever when you fire it. |
