I really don't understand why the DSi has picture features. I swear, it seems like the Japanese want cameras on everything. The camera on my phone is 8.1 megapixels, almost making my Nikon Coolpix seem obsolete. Perhaps the times are beckoning for cameras all around but it seems unnecessary and overdone at times...

And now, instead of making phones small, they're considerably bigger. The DSi XL is another sign of this. Oh, anyone remember the Game Boy Micro, I think it was called? That thing was ridiculously small. =/

Oh yeah, I remember the GBM :|

I never bought one because my friend had one and I was afraid to play the fucking thing because it was too damn tiny for me to be comfortable with, not to mention the tiny screen made it hard to play.

I've got a trusty old phat DS. Still running fantastically, although a bit beat up. I've considered getting a Lite because of the better back light, and the fact that the touch screen things on some games don't work on the phat DS, but work on the lite (namely, scroll bars in the menus in Knights in the Nightmare). Not even considering a DSi, unless, of course, I got it for free. Honestly just seems like kind of a waste of money

Why not use the buttons to navigate to the calibration screen?

Or if it's the case of the touch screen acts as if something is permanently touching it (skips the touch notice on booting), just boot the system with a thumb pressed quite firmly against the screen and recalibrate.

Works for me.
