well i have the tendency to not being able to do anything or concentrate on doing anything without the level graphics done first. as stupid as that may sound. i've always been this way.

i dont even bother trying to ask anyone anymore cause it's soooo helpless.

The layout of the level has actually been done for months, put together by yours truly. I don't think it'll really help you with making the graphics, though.

It's just standard Megaman fare without any inclines or anything fancy like that.

Since there aren't many supporters, I have forced myself to create a prototyp for the first Necroman level.



That is all what my brain could pull out for the moment. Now I need someone who could make a detailed picture of it, along with a ruined version.


I feel myself guilty that I am not the top ace sprite designer I wanted to be.
However, since man is afraid to fall, I have to carry the burden and to grow on it.
Art is not science, but a expression of ones self. If fear and selfpity are dominant, the expression will fail.

Sometimes, it is better to take something what was created before and to make it useable for the own benefit, especially, if your brain, such as mine couldn't deliver a better result.
To make a long story short, I have reduced 16bit to 8bit.

All what I have drawn were the trees and the ground, made from scratch alone. The mansion and the sky were made by MegamanOmega.

I have to admit, that I am not a great sprite designer. When I have the urge to draw, I will do what I can, as long my brain can fathom it.
My greatest fear is, if my art cannot made others smile. When I started to do
for Kuja Killer tiles I have only thought to make them as brilliant as possible, but this is where my limit is.
I have send Kuja Killer by now 2 messages about the latest art I have done for him. Since he was online after my deed, he hasn't answered yet.

I must have failed him. -__-

Even though I would help kuja killer draw graphics even they aren't come from original video game, he would reject my work anyway. My profession is to mix graphics from other NES games and be more custom creative.

I still don't have my PC right now to participate.

Sigh...I hate having to ask this but I have no choice anymore.

We need help with the level design...As it currently stands I've been doing both the graphics and the level design thus far...but it's gotten too much....I can't just sit down design graphics, plan their limits, and think about their possibilities in the level all at the same time...

On top of it all...I'm a sprite artist, not a level designer...even with bolt and Duplex I still don't feel comfortable with my skills. So...Plain pure and simple we need level designers if this hack is to get anywhere at all

Necro Graveyard

Kuja shown me this a while back his friend Mineyl made it. This is exactly what we need. If we were to start on this part of the stage tonight it could all be done probably in three weeks time...maybe a month tops

If there's anyone who wishes to design the levels like so please PM me or message it here. As it currently stands this hack will never get going until we have help here


Also just to clear things up. I didn't do the graphics for that mansion or the sky someone from sprites inc did them for Kuja and he shown me. All I did was fix it up so it was usable. Originally it used much to many colors to have worked on the NES engine

I'm more than willing to do all the level designs (in fact, I'd probably have well over half the game's stages designed already if Kuja would let me go ahead and do that). Let me take care of that; you guys do graphics because graphics are seriously the ONLY hindrance here and are the reason the hack has been on ice so long.

But guys, should you really be showing all these things off in this thread? I think some of this stuff should remain a surprise (especially the Necroman stage layout, since I purposely named it something nondescript so no one would know what it was).

I've already told Kuja numerous times that I'll design whichever stages he wishes, even if it's the entire rest of the game. You probably shouldn't concern yourself with level design anymore unless you make some odd graphics that you intend to be used a certain way.
