So is this the direction you're taking with this engine? I mean, at least a vague direction, anyway. Looks interesting. i remember you showing me something like this a while back.

Yeah, although I'm not quite certain about sticking to some details on the boundary between superficialities and implementation, like whether I'll stick to the handdrawn style (which also relies on most objects being individually positionable, and is optimized towards that) or switch to something more closely resembling pixel art (then being more tilemap-based).

I would stick with the handdrawn style, especially as the retro-style games been overdone a bit too much lately.

Overdone? Man, fuck you. I love me some good ol' retro games. The more, the merrier.

Pixel art does not necessarily imply retro. See games like Seiken Densetsu 3, SotN or Suikoden II; all of those have cartoonish bitmap/pixel graphics with sharp edges and manually done details but look absolutely gorgeous.

I've been such a sucker for XBLA games. Fits my lifestyle. I've been spoiled by games when I was growing up, which games are from the NES/SNES era. I usually have shorter gaming sessions, which would explain why I am not a movie watcher... I don't like commitment to recreational media. The pause button is my friend!

Ah, I've never shared the fun in Retro Games. I think that they are okay, but truthfully I'm not much of a gamer. I like to play a good game once in a while, but they are mostly PSP games that I spend hours to beat on the weekends.

Growing up, I rarely played videogames. I only got my first console at 13. I played rarely on it though, just playing for thirty minutes each weekend I stick with sudoku, chess, and swf games more and some PSP games.

I've always been mainly an NES gamer, playing only a few games on a few other consoles. Sudoku and Chess are definitely fun as well. I'm also a Parchisi and Euchre nut.

It's nice that you play video games in moderation. Addiction is hardly a healthy thing, specific situation pending.

This is my exact standing too. Verbatim.
Although there have been a few PS2 platformers over the years that could hold my attention for long spans.

Yeah, I tend to keep moderation in mind whatever I do.

Whether it be preparing for a test or eating candy It has to do mainly with my attention span and how much I am interested in the certain thing in question

I need to work more on that. I always seem to be on the computer, although I guess that's partly because of the winter, so it's just easier to stay inside. I'm hoping for warmer weather soon so that I can go back to using the computer in moderation.

I've joined in all the Call of Duty: Black Ops fun. I'm mostly a platformer player, although I'll take a swing or two at RPG or strategy games. I enjoy crosswords, word searches, Sudoku, and other word games.

A few of my friends do not have balance any between Black Ops and studying/homework. Make sure you set your priorities!

Are you using the PSN? What is your PSP's firmware/system software?(This information can be found near the bottom at Settings -> System Information.) It's not Version 6.37, right?

Ah, strategy games I love them old Civilizations games
I have Civilizations 3 and 4 and hopefully I'll get 5 soon.

Lol, my friends too. This is their schedules
4:00 - Come back from school/ start playing video games
8:00 - take break from videogames and stare at homework
8:05 - Start playing videogames again
11:55 - Do some homework
12:30 - Go to sleep

Personally, if I ever play videogames during the week I finish my homework first so I don't have to be worried about it.

As for PSP system software... It's 6.30. I've tried putting outside games on it, but I've been unsuccessful in my ventures I don't know how to downgrade/put homebrew games on it.

So I'm stuck at this medical research study place with no way to connect to IRC. Not even mibbit works. It's like fucking CHINA. Seemingly everything is blocked.

Is there a mibbit alternative?

I PMed you a peculiar solution.

So why is it a medical research study place, if I may ask?

Basically what these people do is research the effects of a particular drug and how much of the drug is in a given person's system. Basically we're the ones writing the "possible side effects" on the side of a drug bottle. I usually come out without effects. Worst I've had is a headache.

The studies I've participated in are very safe. They're just reformulations of drugs already passed by the FCC and on the market already. So, these companies sponsor these studies to satisfy the FCC.

Hey, 'sup from a PS3. I just failed to type in my password, so I had to clear my cache and close the browser to try again.

It's honestly stupid how this thing works. Like for instance, I have to hit Alt+Enter to get a line break.

Anyway. Just gonna say that posting from a PS3 isn't all it's cracked up to be. In fact, it sucks. Badly.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to perform a system update just to be able to sign up for the PSN. This is stupid.

The only reason I'd want a PS3 is for blu-ray, and its media player capabilities (MP3). That's really it, aside from a random arcade game. Maybe I'll mod it, too. Who knows. There's one at my local bookstore for $160...

I say stick with the hand-drawn style. It generally looks really nice, and you seem to have it down rather well.
