If thats the case can you take mega arm and apply it to your hack as a replacement to the mega buster ?
His arm doesn't need to grab any items but something different than big ol plasma shots.

I'm afraid not. I don't really find the Mega Arm all that interesting nor do I really know what would be necessary to make it look decent (changing MM's sprite to appear without an arm temporarily, making the hand return, etc) so I don't think I'll go into that. For now, my only plans are level design, graphics, music, and some enemy AI changes.

Well, the link redirects me to the main page of YT. Funny. But searched for the video code (bed6y5sX03E), so I've seen it. It does this since yesterday's YT update...
But anyway. I like it! Good work! But the part with no music feels kinda... Empty, huh.

thats cause this text oh his, was like 3x longer than what was on the original youtube vid from before.

.it's not even half-way to the planet explosions part by the time the first half of the song was even finished.

The japanese rom is probably going to be make it sound more accurate once i get all the scripts in. It's far more shorter obviously.

So was it in the MM7 intro as well.

Maybe you guys could make that part of the song loop? It might not sound amazing but It'd probably be better than just silence.

Thanks!
But the credit for that goes to Kuja Killer.

By the way, I wouldn't mind if you post your comment on Youtube as well.

In light of Megaman Legacy Collection, and Megaman X: Age of Wily (which I noticed uses my Megaman Upgrade Patch as base), I have decided to do a new Megaman 1 hack.

Megaman DX, which was supposed to be a proof-of-concept hack of Megaman 3, was cancelled a long time ago. I have instead decided to call my new Megaman 1 hack Megaman DX.

The goal of Megaman DX is to improve the visual quality of Megaman 1, plus adding new things such as a save feature, and remixed/brand new levels, and the possibility of extending stages for Gutsman and Wily stage 3 (two stages in Megaman 1 I thought were too short). I also want to make Metools and Sniper Joes more common, and balance some things out (such as weapon strength).

Brand new titlescreen:

Much better than my old DX screen for MM3:

Try not to take this wrong way but your old "DX" looks better than the current one you have.
Reason why it has more of a MMX nostologia to it, check out the mega man x title screen.
Look at your old one, see how those to look good the new one you have currently ?

I have to disagree. The new one matches the aesthetics of the original US logo much better in both form and palette. Plus the nostalgia for MMX would be pretty misplaced in a game that has nothing to do with the MMX era.

Reason why I disagree his newer image looks like the title screen from mega man 5.
Also no it doesn't the original mm3 logo with that make its look ackward and too bright.
Whatever though long as he's happy then thats all that should matter.

To continue finding data for SMB3SMAS, I made this intro. For those that played my older game from 2005 which is my very 1st release at the Board 2 Uploader, how was it? AWFUL right? Feel free to pull the AVGN game mod review on me because I decided to make something original that is from the past. You can play all the lost custom levels that is my original design and not rip-offs from other SMB3 games.

Insectduel: Don't be so hard on yourself, my friend. We all begin somewhere. There's enjoyment to be had in everything. You do amazing work with Super Mario All-Stars. Nice video.

BigBoo32: It's been a while since I've played Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 hacks, but I always enjoyed the game growing up, and you're putting together a very awesome hack! The levels look very detailed and interesting to explore. Best of luck with your ongoing progress!

Hey all! Quick question, how do I program Parallax Scrolling? I want to add an effect similar of that in ChargeMan's stage with the moving train in the background in my Megaman 4 hack. I located the code of the effect in Megaman 5, and tried to copy it perfectly, but It doesn't work. The screen does indeed scroll to the speed that I choose, but it scrolls almost the entire screen instead of just the top of the screen, like I want.

I've read the NesDev article on PPU scrolling, and I understand the main registers, but that still doesn't help me.

Can someone give me a rundown of Parallax Scrolling?

I animated the game's original waterfall graphics. I made this using my Legend of Zelda Optimum hack.

Now it really IS a waterfall!

No. At least not right now. I was just experimenting with my upgraded ROM. I programmed the waterfall animation, and I tested the level editors to see if they would work, and they do. I definitely recommend my Optimum patch to anyone wanting to hack Zelda 1.
