I'd like to snort cocaine and watch that video again, I have a feeling it'd be like the end of 2001:A Space Odyssey. Also, some parts of that look annoyingly hard, and I would never think of looking up there for a mushroom in the part with the cheep-cheeps.

Man that level looks insanely impossible! It's okay as long it's a level that doesn't have to be done. I'd hook that level up with some treasure chests or a bunch of good Mushroom houses.

Which reminds me... have any attempts been undertaken to hack the BS-X Zelda? (Are there any similarities in how levels and what-not are stored?)

I mean, it's fundamentally the same base game (engine-wise, at least), just with a more powerful console below it.

I really have no idea, but I will say that altering the original game is a pain. I would seriously hope that Nintendo learned their lesson and used the larger amount of space in SNES games to create a screen format that actually makes sense. The original game uses this weird vertical strip system, and while neat, it is a royal pain when it comes to trying to be creative with editing layouts.

If it were within my capabilities, I'd love to blow the game wide open with additional garbage and extra dungeons and whatnot.

I love it. I don't know how to explain it, but everytime I see Zelda 1 with it's original graphics, whether the levels are new or old, I feel the nostalgia, and it feels great.
