I was waiting to finish the second boss to make this, because I felt that it would feel empty with only one boss (and not that good either D=). As everyone does, I'll post here screenies and links to my bosses if anyone wants to try them. Don't expect uber hardness though, I'm not good at shmups and I like to actually be able to beat them with not excessive deaths!

Also, note that I'll probably make them element-themed. Checking the name you'll be able to tell what to expect (and change the bullet color if you feel like making it more fitting!)

Edit 13/5/2009: I've decided to make videos of fights with them. They'll have a bit of story, but are there mainly for fun and tips on how to avoid certain attacks. Have fun!

Ignis Vulpes version 1.0
Youtube Video
Change bullet color to orange-red to make it look better. This is my first serious boss, so it's nothing spectacular. It relies on spamming all his weaponry to try to destroy the Fraxian. Be warned, though: the more you damage it, the bigger its arsenal will be! Includes two one-time-only Specials plus another Special for players playing at rank 100.

Aqua Lupus
Youtube video
Change bullet color to deep blue to make it look better. Things slowly improve I guess, since I feel this one is more appealing visually and more fun to fight against. Aqua Lupus will use up to seven different attack patterns, varying them while you damage it. It's a stationary boss so hitting it should be easy, but be warned that it may block your shots in unsuspecting ways. It won't use any Specials though.

Note: Aqua Lupus is equipped with the Sniper Coil MkI Weapon. It would be wise to move as fast as you can if it tries to lock on you.

Edited the first post.

Now you can watch videos of a fight against the bosses, with their aproppiate bullet colors!

Oh wow. I'm really bad at keeping things up to date, am I?

Anyways, two new bosses have been uploaded.
Pyro Core
YouTube video
This one was made as an entry to ZarroTsukei's challenge on the Unofficial Fraxy Forums. 100 part limits, only allowed to hide boosting parts, weak point must be a Core. Based off of the Pyromaniac Class from Team Fortress Classic, and will thus use the same weapons - Flamethrower, Incendiary Cannon, Shotgun and Napalm grenade. However, it's TEAM Fortress, so it will be assisted by a Medic and a Sentrygun.

Firefox11's RP Ship
Firefox11's RP Ship - Mech only
YouTube video - First part
Youtube video - Second part
This one is an oddball. Some guys from the Unofficial Fraxy Forums started an IRC roleplay, and someone (IIRC, it was FlandreScarlet?) suggested that everyone should craft a 'boss' based on the respective RP character's ship. Well... Due to some weird events, my char's ship was turned into a Mech, so I thought it would be cool to show this on the Fraxy counterpart. It's also an attempt to fix the general staticness of the previous bosses.

Links to the YouTube vids will be posted as soon as it finishes uploading/processing them.

It might have been me, but it was so long ago.

Junk I.A.R.D.
YouTube video

Entry for the Amalgam Challenge at the Unofficial Fraxy Forums. Only restriction was that the boss must use 'spare' parts to help it during the fight against the player. Due to that condition I used too many parts on design (and I'm not even convinced with the result ), so it has few attacks... But well, I kinda like the mix between traditional shmup attacks and danmaku-ish.

Double update of... Uh. Fun? Or something Introducing the Thunder and Earth elemental pets/beasts.

Fulgur Aquila
YouTube video
640x480 Free Roam
RECOMMENDED to watch the video first to know how to fight the boss, since it's behaviour is very story oriented, and it has a few bugs. Sorry about that. Main reason behind this one was to get an area moving boss, since the others were pretty static relative to the screen.

Silicis Macropus
YouTube video
640x400 Area Fixed
Unlike the other, it's recommended that you watch the video AFTER fighting it to get the full surprise effect. It has hard mode, triggered by killing the support drone instead of the boss. The video doesn't show all the boss' attacks, though. That's why fighting it is recommended.

Both of them feature a location-based randomizer system that'll change the attack order depending on the player position. FA has 3 'normal' attacks and 3 'special' attacks that'll fire once every three 'normal'. SM has the same ammount of attacks, but two phases for a total of 12 attacks. Have fun!

Update time!

MrShine & MrBright
YouTube video
640x480 Area Fixed
Entry for the Preaction challenge against Vortexreaper. Conditions were to make a boss that does a noticeable action before each attack... Admittedly, not the best choice due to their low number of limbs It has a normal phase and two different 2nd phases. To trigger the 2nd phase, defeat each of them with a Lv3 charge attack, the 2nd phase form will vary depending on the last Lv3 Attack used.

Have fun!

Quick updates (but no worries, I'm still slow)!

Umbra Lynx
YouTube Video
640x480 Free roam
This one uses shadow as an element, hiding from the player from time to time while 'predatoring' his way around the battlefield. It also has a second phase which is more of a survival-type of thing which is actually pretty boring (Sorry)!

Well well well *insert that macro pic here*

Aqua Lupus EX
Youtube video - Part 1
Youtube video - Part 2
The Try will set everything up, no worries.
Attempt at a pure danmaku boss (as pure as I can make it, that is), don't know how good it is though. Has two phases, the second being only accessible if you 'defeat' the hard mode fulfilling the conditions, as usual. First phase normal is a remake of Aqua Lupus; hard includes two new attacks as well as harder remade attacks. 2nd phase makes sense to the people who knows what my characters do/their elements. If you are not one of those, you only need to know that she loves to use her spear, as well as Light element.
