edit: Since Fragmentation is quite far behind now (5:13:13), I would ask the remaining Fragmentation voters to distribute their votes over the two remaining options, Daily Cycle 2.0 and Miner's Lament.

So, it seems that the userbase likes both themes equally. To choose one theme over the other over one or two votes would be ridiculous. The results are too inconclusive except for the fact that both are accepted as a community as a whole.

That being said, I propose we keep the poll open for one more week and then close it. If the votes are too close, I feel that we should start taking suggestions on what to do to somehow incorporate the both of them by means of whatever ideas you guys can come up with.

Or, just flip a coin or something.

Works for me. Daily cycle been a staple of this board for awhile anyway, and using a modern variant for it is a good idea.~

Plus I just voted for DC 2.0 so it's even more far away from being a tie.

Since DC2.0, like all transparent PNG based schemes, is utterly broken in IE6, I think it's only in the spirit of the poll if I set the default scheme of the board to Miner's Lament if such a useragent is detected.

Funny this comes up. I am currently posting from IE6 right now. It's a work computer that I can't install anything on...

...I suspect a large amount of the userbase/visitors logging in on a computer like this one. Drives me batty to have to logout/login (whatever the case my be) so I can fucking see what everything looks like.

I probably should compile one of those statistics based on unique IP hits again... last I checked - rather long ago - we had 71% Firefox and 4% Opera users, rest being IE and others.
