Administration has decided to change the default scheme, out of perceived problems with the current standard. However, unable to reach a concensus on what the new scheme should be, we figured that we should take it to vote.

I personally like Miner's Lament.

What can I say? I like dark, or neutral colors.

I prefer Miner's Lament as well.
In my opinion, it looks very nice, visually. Maybe it's the brownish-gray color...

Fragmentation, definitely. But Cold Water Variety is the best.

Personally I'd go with Minus World, just because it is a very clean, relaxing theme with good use of color. It's also the default scheme for the homepage, and while that doesn't matter a lot, it still gives consistency. Though, none of the options presented are really that bad, with the exception of Daily Cycle and I hate Ailure just a bit for suggesting it. I am glad to see he is the only person who likes it.

Fragmentation Cold Water is just a brighter, less soothing Minus World.

When I created "Nostalgia", I wanted to make it visually reflect what our community is about. It embodies what we do here and really gives it a good feel. I also like the dark marble look to it.

Fragmentation is a fucking awful theme and I don't understand why anyone likes it at all.

I personally like Miner's Lament. Just feels better than the others.

EDIT: Nostalgia and Minus World are also really good. Of these two, I think Minus World would be the better default theme.

I haven't really tried any of the other themes (mostly because I think they suck), but when I was taking another look at them (for this thread) I was surprised at how much better than the rest Miner's Lament was. I'd say it's almost as good as the standard theme.

The problem I perceive with Minus World is that it lacks the distinction between some table cell colours that other schemes have. If it were to be adopted, I'd probably meddle with them a bit, accordingly; I hope that nobody would mind.

Personally, I prefer Fragmentation. It has a nice dark blue scheme, provides contrast and works beautifully with all the other colours used on the board. It also maintains the continuity of colouring board2 in blue while having sufficiently modern looks, has all the table cells etc. coloured correctly, looks consistent, etc.

I wouldn't be opposed to Miner's Lament either, though I consider it inferior to Fragmentation, or a slightly fixed Minus World, as above, in that order.

I like the comfortable feeling of Daily Cycle, and it brings a lot of memories back, but it just doesn't seem completely true to the original.

Personally, Miner Laments one of my favourites (especially since I made my first layout based off of it) but close to that is Minus World. They are both simple colour schemes and they use them nicely. The others, in my opinion, are just plain terrible.

Fragmentation. I like it because it's dark and easy on the eyes. Nice colors.

Plus, my layout blends in well.

Hm. I'm using Fragmentation right now, but I also like Minus World (I used that one for a while too)... I'll vote for Minus World I guess. Then at least I'll be able to tell if I'm logged out or not. (Stupid cookies spontaneously exploding...)

Alright, at this point, Minus World and Nostalgia have clearly 'not won.' Everyone who voted for them, please change your votes to whatever you want next-most.
