Well I hope you can find some graphic designers then. I would offer to help since a few of the things sound simple, but I sort of have the graphics in Quick Bros. 2 to worry about right now; and while I have enjoyed making art like drawings since I can remember, when it comes to editing ROM graphics I get a headache although lately I have been managing well enough. In your case though, again I hope that you can find someone to help you out with the graphics, but in case no one is willing to help or until someone actually does, you may have to take a stab at editing the graphics on your own. Yes it takes time and effort, but just keep in mind that there's the possibility that people won't help because of that very reason and they would rather put that time and effort into their own stuff.

If you do plan on giving it a shot yourself, you'll need to get a graphics editor. I recommend both YY-CHR and Tile Layer Pro if you're looking for something simple. I use both of them and they make editing graphics simple. As another thought, you probably shouldn't ask for "help" with the graphics unless you've already given it an honest try - and I think that you could manage it. You did fix the pipe pointer issues, so don't sell yourself short. With Tile Layer Pro, there's a Tile Arranger tool that allows you to view the graphics in the way you see them while playing the game which makes them a lot easier to edit as opposed to the scrambled ways that they are stored in the ROM.

Huh... I also just remembered about Mario's Beauty Salon by Kingo Koopa. It's supposed to edit the palettes. SMBar is also supposed to edit colours, as well as some other stuff.

Or even better yet - check out SMB Graphics Workshop by frantik. It's supposed to edit ALL palettes, as well as a bunch of other stuff!

Oh, well. It's been a long day, so I'm going to go for now. Have a great night everybody. Tomorrow's another ROM hacking day.

I didn't try those programs myself since I don't do SMB1 hacking, so I apologize for suggesting them if they didn't work.

Also, if you're using SMB Graphics Workshop, make sure that you downloaded Version 0.3.0 that's near the bottom of the first page, not Version 0.1.1 that's in the first post, just to make sure that you have the most recent version of the program.

When you say that you'll "upload it", what are you uploading - the image of the Goomba Replacement in Paint, or an updated version of the hack with the most recent issues that you've fixed and/or the Goomba Replacement inserted into the ROM using YY-CHR or Tile Layer Pro? Anyway, keeping everyone updated is good.

I think that's the best decision. If you ended up releasing more versions with tiny updates here and there, people might not have played the final version in which there would be additional changes aside from the levels.

Whoa! What is with the layout?!

Cool. I'm actually interested in checking out the graphics in the SMB1 ROM myself now. Maybe I'll check out the ground and floor graphics since it's always fun to make new designs for those.

Those graphic changes look awesome buddy! I also took a look and saw that there are only two small sections of graphics, as the ROM is evidently small. I think you'll have no problem editing the graphics on your own.

Would it be possible to maybe make your future screenshots a little bigger please? It was sort of difficult to really catch a lot of the detail in the last one without having to focus really hard at it. Just a thought. It'd be easier to catch all of the detail that way. I'll look forward to the image of the Hoverbeetle.

Been working hard these days. A lot of people have asked me for graphic drawing requests for their SMB1 hack. But just to be honest, I don't hack SMB1 anymore. Due to the fact that I lost interest in it but I have other projects or even other ROM-Hacks to play.

Megaman Hacking is most likely motivate me to work on certain games. The Showdown series which I'm currently editing right now. Mostly MM4 than MM2. And I have 2 other long term MM Projects which is MM1 and MM4 for future reference.

I can help you draw if you want since I'm good with SMB1 graphic designs by GFX and assembling sprite ID frames (Like TSA). In fact, isn't Frantik has his SMB1 graphics workshop. in play.

I really like what Frantik have so far but a lot of work still needs to be edited. But I STILL love to use my hex editor to assemble the TSA's and such.

I may need to get back with SMB1 for a little bit but I still have my BETA testers and my teammates working on my Megaman 4 hack right now.

When you say "SMB Logo", do you mean on the title screen? I could try to take a look at that if you wanted. When I was looking at the graphics earlier, I used FCEUXD to find the values of the graphics used to build the title screen, so it would be easy to find the proper place in the ROM. It might be difficult to fit "Super Nuthead Bros." in the block design and the regular letter graphics might have to be used, but then in that case, you'd be able to fit other text and information on the title screen as well, like "By: NutheadBros", "© 2009", and other credits - similar to the image below. What specifically would you want for the title screen (again, if that's what you are referring to)? Then I can look into it for you if you want.

Sounds good buddy. I'll look into it in a bit and hopefully have something to show you either later tonight or tomorrow.

Out of constantly growing interest in this hack I have to ask: If someone offered to look into the music for you, would you think about maybe having different music for the hack? I know I asked you about the music before, but I just thought I'd promote the idea once more, only with that extra detail.

Also, after all this excitement with SMB1 hacks, man... I feel like I want to do an SMB1 hack now.

Yay!

Cool! I can't wait to see Cyber Squid!

So I'll try to get a screenshot of the title screen ready for you as soon as I can. There will be room for additions later considering that there might be further future additions to "Team Nuthead" in regards to this project.
