If you hack SMRPG, you need this. Trust me.
Whenever you see the little magic bottle icon You can preview your current work. Its currently available in the Level editor and the Scripts editor. You can see where here: You can preview: Levels Battle Scripts - Control Battle AI Event Scripts - Control Events Action Scripts - Control NCP's It currently only supports ZSNES. If your having trouble, download the latest version (I'm using 1.51). It's self-explanatory, but if you have trouble with it, let me know. Do yourself a favor and figure this one out right away. |

Yeah, for the most part it's very useful. There are a few caveats, though; you can't use this on levels that requires a script to be run from somewhere else, e.g. ones that don't fade themselves in. |

That is true. To test those, you should start from the initial room that begins that event chain.
Its something to consider for release V1.1. I could probably add a field to specify an event to be executed upon level load. For the most part, its for easy testing during development. You can't use it as an easy entrance point since it has no way of ensuring memory state. You shouldn't use the previewer for testing the final product (we got some erroneous bugs in the demo hack like that). It wont become apparent how useful it is until you actually start using it. It greatly decreases the number of bugs you find while testing after the fact. As a result saves you the time you would otherwise waste figuring out whats going on when coming back to it 3 months later. |

Yeah, this is a good feature.
But her glithes someones. Example: Whem you're at one battle, if you lose, happen how you are winning. This is notable. (Sorry by my bad english) |

How I actually USE the preview feature? How is i different/better than playing the normally?
I hope it is, because the biggest issue I have is how the game glitches up as you edit the game while playing you're current save file. How do I get around this??? |
