Actually, I've created a rather efficient "shockwave generator" with a shockwave effector and energy eggs (and a bunch of events, ofcourse). It's one of my future boss' attacks.

Wow, i am astonished about the newer fraxy versions. Many of my older wishes become reality now. Good work and let the future begin . . .

I think Mon looks at our wishlists from time to time, adding the ideas that seem most feasible, or at least the ones that can be google-translated to japanese; I'm not sure if he knows English or not. I know we used to have a member, Zeta, who emailed with him occasionally.

Two things I'd like to see is,

Drag and drop for parts in the parts tree, this way you can move a part and all of it's children to a new parent, or just be able to reorder your list.

Renaming for events, this will make it quicker and easier to identify what each event does.

Copy the parts, then delete them, choose a new location, paste, and done!

You CAN rename events.

Eh, I'd still like to see drag and drop, but that will work for now.

How do I rename events?

Select the event you want to rename, wait for a second, then click on it again.

Right now there is only a windows version of Fraxy. You could try Wine or whatever equivalent windows emulator there is for Macs.

I would personally like to see some controller support. I've got an idea of making it easier to control on mine, but I can't do it with Joy2key. (Also taking an idea from Radiant Silvergun and mapping each of the weapons to each button so you can easily switch between them.)

I think you can already do that. See the config file, under Input.

Yeah I know how to do it, but it doesn't work as well with a keyboard/mouse.

Yeah. I think some of my player model/weapon ideas made it in... 'Cept that those suggestions were so far back, that I don't remember what any of them were. Worse yet, it seems the forums had gotten wiped since I last visited.

All I remember is that there was one player model type that I suggested: The Sniper.

The Sniper type benefits from weapons that operate much differently than normal; the bullet could be a long ranged, low damage beam, while the blaster could be an extremely fast exploding shot. Why the sniper is named as such, however, is that the screen offset is much further out than default, allowing the pilot to stay very far away from their targets and still deal good damage to them.

I have a few Fraxy bosses that I would like to request.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvN6lGPd9VQ

Reaper Sovereign from Mass Effect.
Sovereign as you see is a massive squid-shaped ship. It can fire a searing beam from the area right above its eyes and other beams from its tentacles. My version would also shoot homing lasers from his sides. For my Fraxy version, it would be an overhed view and I was going to have it's eyes be the cores and you have to punch away at its front plates to get to them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCR_gGwX2J0

Scarship the living warship from Sonic X
Scarship was this huge warship. He could fire beams and missiles from multiple cannons, but all of them were not invulnerable. He had turbines shaped like spiked rods and two large wings. I was going to make mine be an overhead view, and a lot of the weapons like in the show. These two blue things on it's chin right below the eyes were going to be the weak points, and it would fight as much like it as possible. Watch the youtube video to see how it fights.

That's not what this thread is for. It's for talking about features you would like to see in the game itself, not a request thread for having people make bosses for you.

1) Weapon slot variables. The game already seems to record which weapon slot is in use in debug, so I don't see why it isn't available to keep track of this for player weapon use. Could be used conjunct with a working Gradius system, or simply custom weapons.

2) "Blank" weapon. A weapon that does nothing at all, but functions like a weapon as far as system record goes. Used conjunct with slot variables.

2b) "Blank" support item, specific for the game seeing it used as a support weapon in events.

3) TRY specific player image force change. I really don't see why this isn't in the game yet. Simply, a TRY command to force the player graphic change, say a custom graphic for the TRY, or a custom graphic for a ship type selection to the TRY.

4) Multi TRY loading. During a TRY, load another TRY from the specified location, to be run adjacent with the current TRY.

5) TRY "Pausing", conjunct with above. Pause one of the adjacent tries until either only one TRY is running, the original TRY is terminated, or a "Continue" command is issued.

6) TRY-specific enemy parts graphic changing. Say you actually take the time to make custom enemy parts, and make a functional boss using the specific parts tileset. The tileset might not work well for every enemy, or a tileset might use a specific key object (say cancer core) for use in a singular enemy (Magical girl, player-character enemy, etc.) In this case, TRY-specific graphic changing would swap to another tileset, simply enough. (Enemy graphics are currently labeled "01" at the moment, after all.)

2: 2 more draw features; ghost hide, and ghost shadow. Both enable hidden and shadowed parts to move individually without blowing up due to a lack of a vulnerable part. But when all other vulnerable parts blow up, they blow up as well.

that can be done with events. Change auto destroy flag to 0 for the core and make all parts go normal on destroying. I would show you an example, but my stealth fighter is 1. secret
2. keeps showing up and blowing up at the same time.

A new feature i would find useful is an even that can change the alpha color (bullet color) per part using the r g b system.
