Posted by crimental There are 1. It is phrased in improper English. Please make some sort of attempt at proper English. For example, a better way to state your request would be "Can you please upload the game pre-patched?" 2. ROM links, except in extreme circumstances (for example, the massive Sonic hacks where a patch would contain most of the ROM anyway), may not be posted in public. However, they may be exchanged in PMs. 3. How hard is it to patch it yourself? 4. Has a patch even been released? Oh and the blue scepter looks better. ____________________ we're currently experiencing some technical difficulties |

Posted by GreyMarioPosted by crimental crimental: Thanks for your interest, but I'm nowhere near releasing a patch anytime soon. I'm hardly done with the beginning. GreyMario Thanks for telling crimental how it goes. Also, thanks for your opinion on the Dream Scepter! That seems to be the popular model of it . What do you think about the other items? ____________________ MathOnNapkins' Zelda 3 (ALttP) Hacking Forum on Arc-Nova: http://arc-nova.org/forum/index.php?board=7.0 |

It seems like I'm being nit-picky, but something about the phrase "We found a way to exist after all, just like Koholint would..." seems off.
I assume Koholint did find a way to exist through Link (since you have Koholint maps and all), the use of "would" seems improper. Rather, It should read "Just like Koholint has..." I also wonder if "survive" would work instead of "exist"... but space might be an issue. |

Don't worry. I'll be even more nit-picky .
In the end of the dream, the WindFish tells Link that Koholint will only exist as a memory in Link. So Nightmares are making a direct reference to that fact. A memory doesn't actually prove existence. So they'd survive as Koholint would, not as Koholint has. The reason I have maps for Koholint is because the Nightmares, while possessing Link, wish upon the Triforce to make Koholint Island an actual place existing in our physical reality. The Nightmares possess Link the same way that they possessed the WindFish. In fact, it might've even been hinted that by some unknown occurrence, Link was also possessed by the Nightmares in some sense. In the final battle, they take the form of Aghanim and Ganon - two of Link's foes from ALttP. The only way they could've known that is if they would've had some kind of contact with his mind. Also, Link couldn't leave unless he woke the WindFish, meaning that Link was somehow linked with the WindFish on some kind of mental plane. Also, the fact that Link was shipwrecked at the end helps the possession as well. Link might've been all cheery at the end of Link's Awakening, but the WindFish didn't give him a ride back to Hyrule. How did he get back? It might've been days - even weeks. In that weakened state, Link could've been easily taken over by the residual Nightmares in his mind. I hope that clears up anything! ____________________ MathOnNapkins' Zelda 3 (ALttP) Hacking Forum on Arc-Nova: http://arc-nova.org/forum/index.php?board=7.0 |

UPDATE:
Thanatos-Zero joined my project as a spriter. I'm amazed with what he did with Grandpa Ulrira. If you haven't already seen the sprite in his sprite thread, here it is for all to see: If Thanatos-Zero continues spriting for the project this will be more or less the style you'll see. I hope you all can see the direction my hack is heading in. Hopefully, with what MathOnNapkins is going to do with his BlackMagic editor, we'll all be able to do a lot with sprites and graphix. So this is just the beginning! I'm real excited with all the progress that's been coming along. If ThanatosZero sprites anything new I'm sure he'll post it in his thread. I'll also be sure to post them here, as well! As always, thanks for the attention. ____________________ MathOnNapkins' Zelda 3 (ALttP) Hacking Forum on Arc-Nova: http://arc-nova.org/forum/index.php?board=7.0 |

Before you go with installing them into the ROM, I have to edit the rocking chair, because it doesn't look right as animation. Also if you don't mind, I like to give the bubble another colour, meaning that I extend the palette.
Is that okay for you? ____________________ I was a prisoner enclosed in the void, were everything might end up just as myself. Sure! Do what you gotta do! before I insert them into the ROM I have to see what I replace. So go ahead! Let me know when you're done! I might change some useless NPC into Ulrira, because he just basically doesn't tell you anything. Just to call him from a phone. So I'll probably change the fortune tellers into phone booths. But the Ulrira per se, yes! Right on! I think I know who I'll change him into. It's gotta be a sprite that's animated constantly.
Either way, when MathOnNapkins finishes BlackMagic I might be able to create new characters altogether and not have to sacrifice NPCs. So I hope to really make this hack the shizznit! ____________________ MathOnNapkins' Zelda 3 (ALttP) Hacking Forum on Arc-Nova: http://arc-nova.org/forum/index.php?board=7.0 |

Posted by bradzx Parallel Worlds took years to complete with a team of pros. 'Nuff said. I just hope I can get this done in like 3-5 years or so - and that's dreaming. I know that as soon as MathOnNapkins finishes his Zelda3 editor, hacking this ROM will be much more easier and that might shave off some time. Thanks for your interest! ____________________ MathOnNapkins' Zelda 3 (ALttP) Hacking Forum on Arc-Nova: http://arc-nova.org/forum/index.php?board=7.0 |

To think the registration page specifically asked you to "please take a moment to read the FAQ before registering."
To be perfectly honest, you disgust me. ____________________ Wife make lunch - Shampoo Opera - give it a spin Spare some of your free time? <GreyMaria> I walked around the Lake so many goddamn times that my sex drive was brutally murdered Kawa rocks — byuu |

I'm not sure if you'll be interested in this, and I was going to keep it a surprise to the Zelda community, but i've worked a little bit with the music editor in Hyrule Magic and i've ported about a quarter of the Tal Tal Heights theme from Link's Awakening. And man, does it sound epic with the LttP instruments!
It's such a nice theme that I think it would fit perfectly for the mountain areas in LttP. I was considering starting a full hack but I simply don't have the time. If you listen to the song at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtgjJgHgne8 I have from 0:00 to 0:40 done. The thing is, Hyrule Magic bugs up sometimes and an instrument will be silent when it's supposed to be playing, and I have to make a bunch of tweaks for it to work correctly. Also it crashes when I try to save it sometimes (after doing a lot of work) so i've made a habit of saving after every little bit of work I do. |
