I'm wondering if people know how to rip the GFX of DS games yet?
If so, does anyone know where I can find the tile GFX of the first 2 Castlevania games on the DS? And if it can be done but hasn't been done, I'd really appreciate it if someone with the knowledge could take the time to pass it on.
These are for a tribute game which is a kind of hybrid between the positive aspects of modern and classic, which I'm working on at my own pace.

Any GBA tile editor can edit 2D graphics in a DS game. It depends on the compression of the game you're trying to edit, mainly. Have you even tried to rip the graphics? If not, google "TileMolester". It requires Java. Other utilities of the sort can be found here.

You might need this if the graphics are compressed. Same rules apply as above.

Edit: This may also be a useful page.

Thanks for the responce, I'll have a look at the page then have a try. I didn't actually try before posting, because I thought that since the DS is capable of three dimensions, it would be much more complicated than anything I've dealt with before. I'll give it a go, thanks.

Since haxoring a DS rom is still beyond our reach, I assume these ripped grafix are for editing a previous gen Castlevania game. If so, all you need to do is run the DS castlevanias with a DS emulator and rip the grafix you want, instead of just extracting them. It's much easier. Either way, since you're probably going to be "importing" these rips in a Castlevania hack, just edit the extracted sprites from those castlevanias to look like the ones from the DS versions.

Anyways, you can always just google that shit. There are probably buttloads of sprite dedicated pages that are also dedicated to castlevania sprites. That's an excellent videogame series.
