You might need to take out a few details on this one, I was thinking the eyes could be purple instead.


I'm still working on him, but I'm tired so I'm just going to post what I have so far for him.

So far I have about 4/8 done now, so I'll get to work on the others later. I'm going to bed XD!

Also these guys never officially had mugshots and if you ask me it's better than recoloring the original 6 from Wily Wars.

You're entitled to your opinion, and to be honest I don't like my Gutsman. I wanted to fit the Megaman style for one, and for two the faces look nearly the same in almost every game, so it's not like they shouldn't look like that. Every game 2-6 and 9 basically have the exact same style for the mugshots so it's... meh I like my Iceman one and the other 3 I personally don't. =\

Iceman is the best one for sure, if you're unhappy with the rest I'd say redraw them with Iceman as a base. =)

Edit: if you want you could always use the original art as the basis for your mugs. I'd use the action pose versions.

Well, the close up is better, but the position of the red thing is too low. Put the red thing higher up between the 2 bells like in the first version and it'll look much better. =)

Yeah, it's kinda hard to do sprites at times, but I don't want to recolor stuff because I've been spriting long enough to know that recoloring feels disgraceful. I could recolor Iceman from the 8bit version of Power Fighters and Battle but that'd feel like cheating which I don't like doing. I'm gonna try my own thing on Iceman then he should look better because I was looking at the other sprite while making it so it was kinda like I was looking off someone else's paper and didn't quite copy down all their answers correctly.

It's hard to get the mugshots right because I always want to fit a lot of detail in, but in the end I don't have their face zoomed in enough but I'm trying XD.

Is that good now? XD

And, yeah, you don't have to worry about so much detail. Some of the detail is inevitably going to get lost when I port them to the ROM.
Maybe it would help you to study the composition of the portraits in the other NES MMs?

I like the second frame palette because it makes it stand out more and looks more like MM1. But so far ppls opinions are half & half.
