Here is my new Zelda II hack!
This time you will find things more enjoyable. Mainly because I wasn't going for difficulty.  Almost everything will be different, except music and GFX. There isn't much else to say, it's all in the Read me.
Make sure you READ IT!

This is much more balanced from what I beta tested, the challenges are really up there. I'm getting such a rush playing this hack, defenitly worth playing for people who craves a good challenge, it'll keep people busy for hours.
I'll be playing more later on tonight, you'd make Challenges Games proud in my opnion if they were still aorund. Nice work on the final product, hope to see more hacks from ya's in the future. ____________________ My Linktree |

Thanks Googie! It's too bad more people don't like being frustr....I mean, a challenge.
It's not that bad. Once you get a couple heart containers, it's really just as hard as the original. Well, maybe. |

When even Googie says its a challenge, you know you got yourself something frust..I mean special.
But to tell you the truth, I have never liked the original Zelda 2 at all. I have never even gotten to the first dungeon. But your hack is actually motivating me to play this more. Weird... I guess that means you did a good job Ice Penguin.

That second screen does not sit well with me. Those disconnected bits of land just don't look right. It might look better to just remove them entirely.
I'm probably not going to actually play it, though, because I can't even finish the second dungeon in normal Zelda 2.  |

I'm probably one of the few people here who actually loved Zelda II.
Though, I prolly won't download this in any case, I just.. don't really download hacks unless it is something earth shattering or especially eye catching somehow. Not to say this doesn't look nice though, it does, but it reminds me a bit too much of the original.. I tend to aim for stark amount of variety when I pickup hacks.. |

Very nice, I agree with Googie that it would definitely have worked as a "Challenge" hack back when Challenge Games was around. I'm not really fond of dying with one hit at the beginning of the game (I don't think any game should start off extremely hard and then get easier) but once you get some heart containers, this (so far) seems to be a smooth, well-made hack. Again, very nice. ____________________

There has been a few updates. It is now version 1.3. You can see what has been fixed in the Read Me.

Posted by Thexare Blademoon It doesn't look that bad in-game. When you play, it goes with the way the overworld was designed. Again, pictures don't do any justice.
Posted by Krisan Thyme Even though "earth shattering" and "eye catching" are very nice, I just try to provide a freshness to the game.  Eventually, I will be able to do more.
Posted by Reshaper256 It shouldn't get TOO easy. But this time I didn't want constant difficulty. I wanted to give a feeling of progression and accomplishment. Because leveling up is harder to do, once you do it though, you will be happy! |
