Let me rephrase, then. If you are a gamer with a PC and the gamepad you have sucks, then you are a sorry douche.

Anyways, you're on a rom hacking section of a forum, just about anything we talk about requires a keyboard or a gamepad. Oh and I've seen Gamecube/PS2/XBOX to USB converters for like $10, and I mean all three to USB.
Grey Mario: Don't bash PC games for needing a (not-so-sucky) gamepad when it's obviously your fault for not having one in the first place.

Alright, back on track.

I've missed hacking Super Metroid. Making graphics is pretty much the most rewarding, I believe. I'll be able to do that with other games, but making graphics for this games requires a certain art style that I'm best in. Darker settings in games are best for me, the other bright games (SMW) I haven't really tried my hand at. Maybe when the oppurtunity presents itself, I might be able to try to make graphics for a game like that.

The Legend of the Mystical Ninja (SNES). For those of you who remember Goemon's first taste of the good ol' US of A, that game was the shit and a half. That game was a fucking classic. Funny, quasirpgish with its shops and equipment and weapons upgrade. Both a side platformer an overhead platformer.

I would LOVE to hack and tinker around with this. I'd snowboard in hell for that opportunity - wearing nothing but a speedo and sunglasses. And not just to hack it, either. That game engine would be great to make complete forms for one's own games made from scratch. A game with a mix of side-scrolling and overhead.

The Legend of the Mystical Ninja (SNES).

I don't even know how I forgot about this game. My cousin and I played it when we were little and at our uncle's house (quite terrible at it though).
We could never seem to find out what the name was, because we remembered little besides the co-op mode and the graphics.
Since then we've found the title, and will occasionally play against one another through ZSNES.
That game is one of my top co-ops of all time. It would be fantastic to see at least a level hack done.

Co-op mode. Oh yes. I got it as an Xmas gift as a kid waaaaay back in the day and my bro and I SO owned it. My dream would be to hack it to the point of total bliss. *sigh* some day... by far one of the top SNES games of all time.

Nice to know there are other people interested in Yo! Noid, this game was quite popular in Brazil (but not Domino's Pizza, it sucks). I have some (very) sparse notes about the enemy/itens format and level header, I'll look through them and see what can be posted either here or at DataCrystal.

Then tell the guys if they like the game, play the rom of the Japanese version ''Kamen no Ninja - Hanamaru'' since it inspired me to attempt to edit it

I would have to say:

(snes)
Donkey Kong Country
Earthworm Jim
Mystical Ninja

(nintendo 64)
Perfect Dark

Speaking of Perfect Dark, PDZ (xbox 360) SUCKED HORRIBLY. It was a huge dissapointment. I'm still waiting for that xbox 360 Perfect Dark port with extremely updated graphics/controls and amazing multiplayer on xbox live.... sadly that day will (probably) never come

Well I had alot of thoughts once about how it would be to make a NES version of the gameboy mm 5. That'd be awesome. But i would never ever have the time in my life to do something like that since i'm dedicating myself to my nes mm3 hack rather.

You what I always like to do. Hack Yu-Gi-Oh Dark Duel Stories for Game Boy Color. I had thoughts of doing Yu-Gi-Oh hacking like hacking opponents order including Téa, Yugi's Grandpa, and Exodia (They call him Exosha). Edit their decks, Music Pointers via ROM addresses, Edit monsters ATK and DEF points, insert graphics, edit card names and such. I am not sure about the effects of spell cards but equip spell card hacking can be complicated when equipping on a certain monster other than Megamorph.

If I am doing Yu-Gi-Oh hacking on my own with the hex editor, I would name my own Yu-Gi-Oh game, Yu-Gi-Oh Insect Duel stories with new or old duelists, their deck changes and more.

Also, hacks shouldn't just be limited to modified games. There are a bunch of games that never made it to the US that should be translated. Like all the other Ganbare Goemon (Legend of the Mystical Ninja) titles for the SNES and N64. Thank God for FuSoYa's work on the Sailor Moon RPG (a REALLY great game) which eventually led to the SMB editor, Lunar Magic. I'd love to see new editors for classic games. When I get my boots on I'll start working on a Mystical Ninja editor with ASM (the English one, first). Cuz even if you don't like the game, the engine is excellent. Again, one of the best SNES games ever. So keep an eye out, someday. Maybe in a couple of years I'll pop out a Legend of the Mystical Ninja editor .

I agree

Also I want to hack adv. of lolo 2, but that neptune editor dont have option to edit power ups :\ .

Yes it can, I have documentation on how to do it.

~How to change power up for level~
In bottom corner of editor, there are 2 bytes
First Byte C_ 2nd Byte E#
_=# #=Number of hearts till glowing to activate Power
1=No Power Up
2=Arrow
3=Bridge
4=Hammer

there are a maximum of 3 power ups... if you wanted to use all 3 in a level
C2E2 C3E3 C4E4 for example

If you want to use no power ups:
C1E0 C1E0 C1E0

I would like to hack and I have the tools, however I'm not a very good hacker. But if you have some good hacks of the super mario 64 rom, send me a private message and a link for your hack! I love to play hacked versions of super mario 64!

That thar is a prime example of how not to respond to the topic of the thread.

Let's point out a couple mistakes here:

1. You didn't state which games you would like to hack. That just so happens to be the topic of this thread.
2. Actually, you only made one mistake in that post because your grammar is actually somewhat passable.

Oh, also, Donkey Kong (GB). I still want to hack that.

Eh, there's a couple of games that I'd like to sink my teeth into.

SNES
-Illusion of Time/Gaia (If just to make that Red Jewel at the start of the game less frustrating. Then I imagine I'd aim for a remix of the dungeons or something. Then maybe go and fix up the grammar in the game ).

GBA
-Advance Wars 2 (I hack this almost exclusively, I just don't have the time at the moment to finish my total conversion hack I've been working on)
-Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land (Figure it'd be easier than attempting to slash through the compression of the NES/SNES games and I've got GBA flashcard = play hack on TV)

DS
-Advance Wars Days of Ruin (FIddle around with new AW mechanics? Damn straight. I've already made some bits and pieces for it, but you could do a lot with it. Especially as if both people have the same ROM hack, it works on Nintendo Wifi)

Earlier in the thread I said "any console MM game." Ironically, I've done the opposite.

I also wouldn't mind hacking Metroid 2, especially if I could get it in color.

Also: GM, stop pretending that you're a mod.
