Anyone know about the hacking programs for this game as to rather or not there are any updates on them?If not,Is there any good programmers out there care to try?I'm sick of mario hacks.Thats mostly all i can find on the net.The older utilitys for DW1 are'nt suiting my needs.Hex editors are just too damn time consuming when it comes to moving people around or changing their text. The utilitys only move tiles and not sprites.I think the guy that made DWedit or something like that, gave up on it years ago.Come on programmers,Todays technology is much better than those days.I'm sure it's possible to make a multi editor for this game and it's sequels.

"Hax dis gaem now bitchez!"

This is bad, do not do this. If you want help hacking the rom yourself, fine, but don't tell others to do it for you.

Why are there no spaces between sentences? /

Yeah, I'm sure it's possible, too. Wouldn't that be cool?

Make it happen.

There is. In fact, it's a universal editor. It's a hex editor, and still works to this date, even on new titles :o

Ok,well i see this is going nowhere.
But thanks anyway for the replys.

Celice:
I don't want to mess with hex editors. As i said,They are too time consuming. Also,When i had my old 98 se comp,Hexposure it what i used.I could find any word that was in the game. Now that i have XP,Hexposure does'nt work at all.And none of the other hex editors find words in the game.

NetSplit:
Yes,It would be nice!

NightKev:
????
I think i understood half what your saying.
I'm not telling or asking for someone to hack a rom for me.
I am asking for someone to make a program to improve a rom.
I'll do the hacking,I just want a faster way of doing it.
Btw,There are spaces in my sentences.

Since you are one of the few people who seems interested in doing it, why not try and make an editor yourself?

He means between. Most sentences have a space or even 2 directly after the period, rather than it running right in to the next word.

Either way, if you've already found all the data for the game, why not program a simple editor? Programming something simple like that isn't too difficult and you seem to be the most interested.

EDIT: Ninja'd.

If we need any new ROM hacking utilities, I'd say cover the stuff that has no editors first. *coughminishcapcough*

This should be more than enough to really get started hacking this game.

All in all, it really doesn't take too long to do things manually in a hex editor, as long as you know what you're doing.

And no hex editor is going to magically find your data for you, words included. If the game uses plain ASCII, you may be able to find any uncompressed text, but anything else, you're going to have to work for it bud.

Lmao
I don't care about spacing.as long as people understand what i'm asking.Obviously,people don't understand what i'm saying.But it's not due to spacing.
I thought when i was asking for programmers help,It was plainly clear that i knew nothing about making editors. I have no programming skills whatsoever. If i did, then i would'nt be asking for programmers help.

Appologies to all if this sounds to harsh.

Having people bother to read your posts on a forum is a privilege, not a right. Knowing that something simple that you're doing when typing up a post makes it harder to read for others and doing nothing about it is stupid. No one has to read the stuff you post. Is it really that hard to put a space after punctuation? What the hell do you do when typing up any sort of document?

If you really want someone to make an editor for these games, find and post as much data for them as you can. Stats, level data, sprite data, the works. If you don't want to learn how to program and want someone else to do the work for you, then make it as easy for them as you can and maybe they will. Even then, it's not guaranteed because you're asking other people to do a significant amount of work because you won't learn how to do it yourself.

Ok OK, No need to make a big deal over it.
I understand it's complicated, I don't have much skills in rom hacking or programming,
But i will help out in anyway possible.

Sliver X has already posted the site for the data.
