Posted by interdpth ok i was able to get into Advanced -> Edit Enemy Data and place the morphball bombs. however, whenever i load the rom and actually go to pick them up the game just freezes. any clue what im still doing wrong here? edit: also when changing the Enemy Data i seem to get a lot of spaces that are supposed to be empty however they arent. edit2: Edit Enemy Data seems to just have some weird effects. im editing the 1st room in brinstar and whenever i change the 1st field in Edit Enemy Data it effects the enemies as well as the morphball. other 2 fields seem to have no effect no matter what i select for them. another weird effect: same room, brinstar 0, changed Enemy Set 1 into Gravity Suit. Instead of gravity suit, all the enemies turned into violas..... edit3: i know im doing something incredibly wrong here, just cant figure out what exactly.... |

Oh, right, I forgot Scroll Data editing.
lol, for some reason my hack is somewhat screwed up =/ I probably moved some sprite or something like that... At least I have a backup. And, is tomorrow actually the actual release date of ZF? =D ____________________ Join the Mafia |

Wow, this is awesome. The editor even looks nice. It looks like it's at least as powerful as SMILE. Theres a bit of lag when drawing multiple tiles (But I am using Vista currently, so I'll blame that) which makes completely changing a room very tedious. After looking through the dozens of tile sets and considering some of ZM's unique level features (False, 'vanishing' walls, fake lava, etc) there are definitely going to be some awesome hacks in the future. |

Hoorah! Congratulations on the progress interpth.
You've come a long way from where it started. Loving the new features. Will play around with it some more after work this evening. ____________________ Deviant Art Profile |

two questions quick questions...
in the earlier versions there was an intro editor but it was grey'd out, now its not even grey'd out, did you scrap the whole idea of the intro editor? how do you add additional scroll data? Posted by interdpth doesnt seem to be running slow to me. 2-3 secs between room loads. and ZF makes SMILE look extremely user unfriendly. |

Well, I just installed Xp on this machine and gave it a whirl without Vista. Reduced slowness dramatically. (Still a bit laggy, but my current machine is junk) Also the tile-placement system seems a bit buggy. IE Sometimes when I am copying one existing tile, it copies the tile and the clip data, but other times it only takes one of the two, and sometimes it just doesn't paste any tile at all. (I might be doing something wrong; Right-click copies a tile's data and left-click pastes it, right? Or is there more...) |

Have you found the sprite pictures in the ROM? This is simply awesome, much better than SMILE (GUIwise) keep it up ;-) ____________________ #jzd, the unofficial metroid hacking team " |

You should make it so that if the OCX error appears, it gives instructions how to fix the problem.
Or either auto-include it with the program. ____________________ |
