This should be stickied like on the old board. I've already seen a few requests for level editors.

Sigh, at least put in the info. Right now, the title seems stupid!

Ok, I figured this needed to be brought up. Before anyone asks if there's a game editor, try doing a bit of research. http://www.zophar.net http://www.romhacking.com http://www.dragoneyestudios.net http://www.cg-games.net are your best chances of getting any editor of any game out there. If those don't have what you're looking for, then try Google. If all else fails, look for hacks of the game you're looking for. If there's no hacks of it, that means there's 99.99% chance that the editor you want does NOT exist. I figured these tips and doing a little search can save the board from getting slaughtered with more "is there a *insert game* editor" threads.

DahrkDaiz I hope you don't mind me pulling this off the archive and posting it here, felt it might need to get up as the old lessons may soon be forgot.

Does anyone know where the Windows version of Nephi (Zelda: Link's Awakening) can be found? I'm only able to find the first release, which is DOS.

And I seem to remember there being an overworld editor in production somewhere, although it was in german.

I've been wondering, is there an editor to certain parts of SMAS? I've seen hacks of it before, and for some odd reason, one of them is basically the SMB3 hack Super Mario Bros. 3 Expert, but in SMB3-SMAS GFX. There's also this Pokemon-themed one, too... Never saw it in a list of hacks for the NES game... And trust me, it's NOT a simple GFX hack- The overworld's been changed around. So, if there is no SMAS editor, how in the world would you edit the levels and overworld for one of SMAS's games?

The code is pretty much exactly the same as the NES originals - and the SMB3 Workshop editor (I hope I got the name right) can edit SMB3 in allstars.

There is a lack of SMB Utility in that list. Seriously, that is the best SMB editor out there.

Also, SMB2 Level Discombobulator can be found on Romhacking.net so it would probably be a good idea to replace the broken link with this one.

Don't forget the SMB2 Transmogrificator, which you can snag here. Even if it's based on Ace's editor, from what I tested so far it gets the job done.

It would be nice if someone could tell me if the SMB2 editors are for SMB2J("TLL") or SMB2("DDP").

Does anyone know where the Windows version of Nephi (Zelda: Link's Awakening) can be found? I'm only able to find the first release, which is DOS.

And I seem to remember there being an overworld editor in production somewhere, although it was in german.
Nephi Ultra was, unfortunately, never completed and dropped long before it supported anything past viewing. Sucks, doesn't it?

Nephi Ultra Win + needed DLL files...

Simple Google search came up with it, and I downloaded it and uploaded it somewhere more reliable...
