Okay, I've got a few quick questions as I'm replacing music for a hack I'm working on and I thought I'd ask the couple of people who know way too much about this before spending some time digging.

1) How can you change the default tempo of a song, what bytes do I need to edit in either the exported track data or the ROM to change the speed?

2) I've noticed that when inserting songs that have a large amount of tracks (Mostly some midis assembled to songs) that they'll play completely in Sappy, but in-game some of the tracks are not playing. What's the limit to the tracks that can play for a song?

1) Tempo is set with 0xBB.
2) Maximum number of tracks is about 16, but this is shared among all four engines. That's why songs are prioritized in case you run out.

Awesome, thanks.

One final question, how can I get Midis to loop?

The MID2AGB converter expects you to use a kind of label. "[" and "]" denote the loop range. No MIDI editor I've ever used supported them though. Lyrics won't do.

Ofcourse, you can also edit the .s files by hand using the GOTO command. One for each track. Make sure all tracks are of equal playing length or they'll go out of sync! That's why I always add an extra note at the end of the MIDI file and replace -that- with a GOTO.
