Does anyone know of any other nes emulator that does in game tile editing?
When i open roms in nesticle,if it's a long filename it shortens with the ( ~ ) symbol.How do i get that to show the whole file name?I have too many rom hacks that start with the same name.I hate having to open all the roms to get to the actual rom i'm looking for.Nesticle is a lot easier to edit tiles and sprites than tile editors.

1) Only Nesticle.
2) That's Windows' Long File Names for ya. Anything that doesn't fit the 8.3 scheme (eight letters name, three letters extension at most, no special characters) gets truncated to six letters, a tilde and a number:

My Stuff.doc -> mystuf~1.doc
My Stuff about Yours.doc -> mystuf~2.doc

Edit:
Also, some games can't be edited in Nesticle. The only real value it adds is that you don't have to wade through the non-graphics data. Is that it? Is that why you prefer something that's so old and dusty that it can't decode long file names? If it is, I call you lazy.

Lazy?I think not!Dusty or not nesticle saves a hell of a lot of time editing roms.So i open a game in a tile editor,scroll down the screen to find the tile i'm looking for.Then i go through the pallete colors or load a save state.Then i change a tile or 2,scroll down the screen and change a few more,Then i finally save and exit.Where in nesticle,i point redraw write to vrom and i'm done.No pallete color searching,no loading save states.Btw,i know all about which games can be edited.If it has no vrom value,then you can't write to vrom (DUH!).In that case,I go to my tile editor programs."Lazy?" Yea right.Just smarter!

See ya in the future, kid. You'll be stuck hacking NES roms forever.

And is there a problem with that? Huh? HUH?!
Seriously though, get YY-CHR and use a better emulator born2party. Being able to edit stuff with the editor seems nice, but it really doesn't make up for poor emulation and not having support to edit every game possible.

Especially as the promising ability of not having to reboot the ROM to see changes isn't all too greater than simply rebooting the ROM. Especially if you have a savestate handy (make sure the data you're modifying has a way of "reloading" from the saved RAM). This takes, what, five seconds?

And let's not forget bookmarks! Tile Molester's bookmarks even include block sizes and palettes.
