This is just, just outta hand, but it's really hot. I've been trying to find this hack for a couple of hours now but no dice. At first it had me laughing so hard I was crying in tears. Impressive imo. ^^'

I doubt it's a flash movie kiddo, the Japanese Rom Hackers do sweet things with the SMB engine. It's a SMB hack, awesome one even for one stage. ^^'

I can tell that it might be a flash ROM-hack just like Super Mario Evolution 2 with the Yoshi.

And I haven't even check Romia BBS in a LONG TIME. If you do find the hack. Please notify me by E-mail so I can host it in my webpage.

I think it's real, judging by the status bar "flickering" at about 1:20.

And indeed it is a SMB hack, I see SMB spefic quirks in the video... not to say that the physics is more similar to SMB than Megaman. ;P

...and it's kind of obvious with all the SMB soundeffects being used.

I wish those videos would have patches on their page.

Heh, funny how Japanse ROM hacks seems to be obessed with abusing glitches as part of gameplay...

Not true. I even abuse glitches in my SMB2J+1 Hack than the second one. And even if they host patches on their YouTube videos. I will host the patches directly on my website. There's a chance that they didn't.

I collect almost every SMB1 Hack and even the Japanese ones I found. But I took a break for a while for a reason.

Here's SMB Evolution 2 which is quite superior SMB1 Hack.

I submitted Super Mario Evolution true to romhacking.net. But 2 wasnt out then. And there was some other evolution hack, but I couldnt figure out how to beat it even with game genie codes so I didnt submit it.

You should upload those patches you got somewhere. Or put the more noteworthy ones on romhacking.net.

That second video sucks, because it's another boring "hidden shit"/"glitch abuse" hack.

The Yoshi one is goddamn ridiculous (in a good way) like how the status switches to the bottom and there's verticle scrolling.

The Megaman one is still the best although I'm sick of talking about megaman.

Just beat Evolution2

I was quite impressed when I played this a while back, though I didn't get to fully beat the boss himself yet.

Is there any kind of formalized framework for all the custom spritery and what-not for SMB3, analogously to SMW's sprtool, or are things like that customarily done in an ad hoc manner?

I think there might be some type of japanese patch floating around that allows a "verticle mode"

What the fuck is the menu supposed to do in Mario vs. Airman?

Also I'm jeleous of Japanese hackers. Those kids act like they took algebra on Mario physics or something.

And just for the note, It could be the 1st SMB hack uses IRQ in the status bar, I might put it in the original SMB1, But with ATA in the credits.

I can also possibly EMAIL him about it, just in case

Are you thinking about the "Vertical scrolling mode"? Where most games usually uses the "Horizontal" one.

The menu retains the flowers that you pick up, and allows you to use them as spare energy packs. (aka, if Mario becomes small, using it will make him firepower).

Also, lol at the game when playing as Luigi.

The 2nd hack (with the "difficulty levels") was more a novelty hack than anything, it seems like it would start getting rather tedious after a while.
