Copied from ice board:

Windows 98 set.

Download at SMW Central

EDIT: I guess the left taskbar edge would look better if you added a white line.

That's kind of amusing. Nice work.

I sure learned to despise that mint green default BG over the years

Wye: I saw it on Ice board, SMWCentral and it looks great and epic!

I'll show to you guys a little bit of the level I am doing:

Pow Underground
(If you have a better name for it, PM me)

As you can see, the message box is telling about the Blue Pow at the beginning of the level.

After, when the Blue Pow is pressed... The Blue Pow Blocks become solid!

Here's inside the underground, the BG was ripped by MetaKnight (thanks). As you can see, I've changed the GFX of the turning blocks.

This is why I've changed its GFX, I downloaded Doggycharly's ? Blocks in YI style and to fit with the style, I've changed the graphics of some blocks. Thanks Doggycharly!

More Blue Pow Blocks and... Blaargs!!

Feel free to post your comment!

I don't know if I already posted it, but:

Windows 98 Wallpaper BG, fits with WhiteYoshiEgg's Windows 98 Set.download.

Also, Wye made an ExGFX set that includes "Windows 98 Set" and "Windows 98 Wallpaper BG". Download at the central.

I'm not sure if you meant this, but it's just a version of the foreground that uses palette 4 with a palette for FG and BG. The BG ExGFX are not included.

Too much blue. oO

I guess the background is ok, but the foreground dosen't exactly make me think on underground. Probably should make it more dark and less blue... but still tinted blue.

I actually like the looks of that palette. SMW hacks with a more "synthetic" colour scheme that doesn't look like crap are rare these days, so keep it up.

Riko, in addition to the attention-grabbing Thwomps, I love that font, and how the score is kept in units rather than in meaningless hundreds.

How about making separate letters for the word "SCORE" that lean to the right? Then you'd have a little more symmetry in the status bar.

Ummm, because there can really only be one style font, and flipping X axis doesn't always work.

And on the the main post.

My most recent project: Super Paper Mario.

There are more ground tile than what is shown, like slopes, etc. Those Koopas are ibz10g's, all the rest was made by me, GFX wise.

Shouldn't the ground tiles be a little bit brighter? Then I hadn't touched Super Paper Mario in awhile...

I like it anyway.

They were brighter a while back, they have the right palette this time, I made sure of that.

Heh, they all look neat. Especially the last one.

...you messed up the syntax for one of the images, but I fix that for you.

Edit: Actually, that seemed to be some odd bug with [img] oO. Replacing it with HTML works...

to DarthRiko: You should tweak the Giant Piranha so that it goes in between two blocks instead of going on top of one. That way, it will make the Piranha fit in regular sized pipes just like the Piranhas in Super Paper Mario.

Just so you know, Remnic.

me + sprites = win

me + sprites + editing = fail

me + blocks = win

me + blocks + editing = fail

Understand?

I'm just saying I fail at ASM.

You could compare the Short Piranha sprite from SMW Central with the Venus Fire Trap. That way, you can open up the asm file for the Giant Piranha, copy some code from the Venus Fire Trap which makes it wedge between two blocks...

???

Profit.

But it's not really necesary for you to do it if you want. It was just a suggestion.
