I finally released my Fester's Quest editor which I named inFester.
There's interface changes and all to let the user have more reliable editting. Everything is the same but now it's faster, and you can edit all 3 maps of Overworld, Sewer, and Alien ship. Shift allows you to view the entire map and allows for better relocation for editing. There's even a palette editor that lays out palettes as colored blocks to edit like the tile editor. The palette editor directs you to all the palettes used in the game. Here are screens of each of the 4 modes: Overworld: Sewer: Spaceship: Palette: Here's the download: inFESTER 1.0 Press F1 for information on game. ____________________ |

Nice job with the editor CKY-2K, will the enemies pop up in the same places or in different places depending where you edit the maps? I would hate to see enemies inside bushes, swere walls etc. I'll give it a try tonight. ____________________ - Nikki |

Enemies are coded to show up randomly on an open space outside the game's view and to come in after you.
The only thing I can think of how the enemy layer works is that there's some local data placed to tell of what type of enemies can spawn. ____________________ |

Looking really nice, I can't decide if I want to do a Fester's Quest hack, or a graphical overhaul of Alien 3 now... Then again if I go with Fester's Quest, I need to figure out a way to make certain stairs lead to boss rooms to make it free roaming and to get rid of the lame fake 3D mazes... Great work so far though |

Well next thing I need to do is to allow edit of tile types.
If you were to put stairs in an alien ship it would send you to the overworld. ____________________ |

Nice, I'll have to tinker with this editor after I tie up some loose ends in NJ tomorrow. Perfect icon choice too. ^^'

I'm really sorry for asking this question, but is there a way to have Fester start at a different place? ____________________ - Nikki |
