Yeah, I tend to be online most of the time I'm not at school or doing something else like homework or cleaning the bathroom. I'm such an Internet addict.

I'm normally always online, but its mainly when I'm playing a game and not looking around on the web.

I'm online most of the time, except when I have to go to school/do homework/clean/whatever, or when I take a break and do a Sudoku, play Civilization, or watch anime.

Even if I have homework to do, I still remain online most of the time.

I tend to multi-task by doing homework and reading threads at the same time.

I actually turn my PC off at night so I'm never "always" online. It's also off when I go to work... I *rarely* leave it on and if I do then it's because there's a big download in the works.

Likewise. If I leave, it gets turned off.

And I only have 60.8 MB left on my computer, so I can't download anything.

Same as Colin.
Also, mysql_query("UPDATE `users` SET `posts` = `posts` + 1, `lastposttime` = '$currenttime' WHERE `id` = '$userid'") or print mysql_error();

I'm online. Sure, this is a bit of a bump, but this is completely relevant to the topic. And I thought it might promote activity.

My secret ploy to have everyone post worked! That's at least 3 people online.

No of course not.

You can't put a thread offline, only close it.

I was offline for about 13-14 hours, from 17:00 to about 8:00. Watching the network with Ethereal was amusing, as practically every computer was spamming ARP messages, as they attempted to find out what happened to the gateway that went down. Took a few hours before said spam died down.

Did they find out what caused it in the end?

No idea, but I suspect the router crashed. I saw a physical address on the network that I suspected was said malfunctioning router... so it might been something broken further up.

I have no idea how they configured the network here.

This thread's almost Spatula material, but I feel I must obey the thread title.

Ailure: Sounds like that network sucks.
