With this kind of discussion, locking the thread when it becomes heated is far more detrimental to the board than any arguing that occurs on the thread. People cannot resolve their differences if they cannot discuss them.

Also, I'm leaving my opinion out, since I haven't been around long enough to have formed one.

I think there are many, many people here who think that Xk was a fine leader. The board was running just fine. In fact, it's the best I've seen the board in quite a while. He keeps things in order, and prevents stuff happening to the board (like stag019) and if shit happens, it's quickly dealt with. Now that Xk is out of office, the board has already been hacked, and it took an entire day to fix it. (I might be over-exaggerating a little, but you get my point, it wasn't quick.)

A lot of us think Xk should still be the leader of this board. The only ones who don't like him were the ones who had the capability to remove him from office.

Last view: 6074 days 		I've only been here since about two weeks before ABII came into existence, but even I am able to notice the serious lack of leadership since power changed in the last week. Xkeeper has done a terrific job keeping things together in that time. I'll admit, he may not be my sole reason for being here (really, Kattwah and the Mafia game, as well as potentially a spot in a Pit someday is what holds my allegiance), but he never did anything that would want to drive me away, either.

I suppose I'm trying to say, from my limited experience, that Xk is/was a great Admin. He really does know what he's doing, and that's enough for my book. I throw my support in for Xkeeper.

Last view: 5701 days 		The only problem I've seen with Xkeeper being an admin is that he's not the only admin on the board.

Seriously, you can't run a board the way he did with other admins just as powerful, who also have conflicting views and opinions to your own. It's bound to cause conflicts such as these, and will continue to happen unless Xkeeper's staff team follows the same train of thought as himself.

IMO, there should have only been two admins - Acmlm and Xkeeper. That's how it was when the board started, and that's when things were the best. blackhole and his "crew" obviously have different views for the board, and so far they seem to be contrary to what this place needs. Xkeeper provided what this board needed, because he had the balls to knock it into shape, rather than going "well, I don't know..."

It's about being assertive. I don't see that so far out of the new admins.

Xkeeper was way, way too strict, and can't seem to handle anything not going his way. This board just hasn't been nearly as fun with him as admin as it was when I first came around... I mean, I don't mind Xkeeper as a person, but I just don't think he's good with power. It's not like any other administrators ever exploded the board. I think it's good for him to be out of power.

Really, the only reason things are getting so chaotic right now is because right now, the only admin around is Ailure, who is... Completely on the opposite side. If Xk is too strict, Ailure is hilariously lenient. Except it's not really funny at all. If every other admin hadn't disappeared, we wouldn't really be in this mess...
