Hey, people here probably know more than me.
Ive been hacking FF1 for a long time now. probably 2 years now. ive done a lot (most of which I dont remember how to do anymore), including change the bridge, remove the NASIR intro, and change pretty much all of the graphics, armor, spells, and maps. However, I have a problem I CANT seem to figure out. Whenever I try to use FFHackster to change the world Map.... it breaks my minimap in-game. When I hit B+select, I always get these giant gaping broken blocks. I cant figure out what the deal is. Does anyone know what causes this? Is there a general rule of thumb I need to remember when editing the FF1 map? Ive tried googling this on and off for over a year now, and cant ever find anything. Im hoping someone just knows, and is willing to share. |

I believe the explanation I was given stated that the reason the map couldn't be drawn correctly was because the world map alterations were too drastic to accomodate. I wasn't told whether it could be fixed, so I went with the assumption that I could just kill the map's routine, or modify the TSA of that screen and insert a map graphically, and then kill the drawing portions of the routine.
