Even if you put tall grass in a town, there won't be any wild Pokemon unless you create wild Pokemon data. Advance Makes that pretty easy to do.

I like the route, but the town still seems a little bare. You could add more houses or make the existing ones bigger

Gotcha.

Also, as for the "omgwtf grass town" stuff; there are no wild pokemon in the town, the grass is just there to make it look nicer.

More updates later today .

Hmm, never thought of that. I'll try mixing up the tilesets in later towns/routes/whatevers.

Though your maps have some errors, they are not bad for a noob. I mean, I have seen some CRAPPY mapping. Have you ever heard of Pokemon Crimson Skies? I hope you have not.

Like you're one to talk. From what I've seen out of you, I don't know if you have much of a right to talk.

He doesnt have any right to talk.

If anything, he should be working towards making maps like NightKev's. IE. actually making his own instead of just altering existing maps.

Bah, work has been slow lately because of DramaTM. I'll try to get new screens up by Friday.

You should include all 386 Pokemon for this project because with most Pokemon Generation 3 Games you can't get the National Pokedex unless you trade off Fire Red Or Leaf Green which is annoying. Tha would be really cool to see you include in your project. i know from playing Ruby that it's hard to catch the Pokemon unless you guys trade between games.

NightKev, just ignore Simango. If you put Trial Road on a flash cart or use VBA Link or what have you, you can trade everything in. No problem. We've had too much arguments on "having all 386 pokémon on the map" already.

I personally think that including all 386 Pokemon is a BAD thing. It's completely unnecessary and only seems to spoil diversity by making you think 'I've gotta put Deoxys...somewhere!'

And that's like 20 legendaries to catch. Jeezum Crow.

You're much better off choosing a set of 100 to 150 appropriate pokemon. I mean, if you based a hack on the Sahara Desert, you're not gonna put tons of Ice Pokemon in. ; If it's thematic, people won't care that you don't have all of the little bastards.

On the "variety" thing... just please put in a decent number of fire types.

The fact that Diamond and Pearl only had Ponyta/Rapidash and Chimchar/Monferno/Infernape available until the National Dex was very disheartening.

Otherwise, there's a wide variety of Pokemon you can put in. 386 varieties, of which 21 are legendary... yeah. I'm sure you can think of something unique.
